She recently made her Carnegie Hall debut at the Weill Recital Hall with the New York Lyric Opera theater. Nina has performed with Center City Opera Theater, Dell'Arte Opera, Chelsea Opera, Opera Company of Brooklyn and Project Opera of Manhattan. Nina was invited to perform scenes with the Minato Mirai Opera's Co-repertory workshop at the Minato Mirai Hall in Yokohama, Japan in March '08 and January '09.
Outreach experiences include performing the role of Fifi Alsace-Lorraine from the original production of Queen Kong, as well as the role of Hope from the Musical Theater show All That Glitters. I am a classical singer and pianist from Wisconsin! I started playing music at the age of three on the piano and starting taking voice lessons when I was 15. When I was in graduate school in Las Vegas I started teaching both voice and piano lessons and found how much I loved imparting my knowledge to others and watching them make progress.

I have performed leading roles in Operas and soloed in orchestral concerts. I mainly perform opera and classical but love musical theatre as well. My performing experience has taught me a lot which I am eager to pass on to my students! I moved to New York City three months ago but I had a studio of around 35 students in Las Vegas both voice and piano.

Welcome to my profile! Thanks so much for taking a moment to look at it. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up in Salem, Oregon with a very musical family. I began playing piano at age 6, viola at age 10, voice lessons came at age 14, and finally, I began taking organ lessons when I was 16. In high school, I accompanied the jazz choir, played in the orchestra and the symphony, and accompanied a children's choir, as well as taught lessons. It was a busy four years! I went to St. Olaf College as an organ performance major, but I couldn't resist the singing bug, and quickly switched to vocal performance. While I was there I took pedagogy classes, which taught me how to be a great teacher! I still look at my notebooks from those classes. I also sang in several operas, traveled to Italy to sing, and met some of the most influential people in my life. I moved to NYC in 2009 to pursue a Master's Degree at Manhattan School of Music. Fred holds a bachelors degree in Music Education from Westminster Choir College, one of the nations most prestigious music schools, and a masters degree in Vocal Performance from East Carolina University. My name is Steve and originally hail from the Detroit area. I've completed my Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Western Michigan University and Masters of Music in Opera Performance from Wichita State University. I am well versed in both musical theatre and classical styles and repertoire and enjoy teaching and performing either genre! I am a classically trained singer living, working, and teaching in NYC. I have a degree in vocal performance from The University of Maryland at College Park. While in the D.C. Metro area I performed as a chorister and soloist at The National Shrine, Metropolitan A.M.E Church, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. My exposure to a wide range of music, from baroque to contemporary gospel and musical theater, has strongly influenced my teaching. I recently returned to the US after teaching music in Switzerland. I'm currently the assistant conductor of the Russian Chamber Chorus of NYC and a Choral Artist with the Metropolitan Opera Guild. I'm passionate about all kinds of music and my mission is to share my passion wherever I go!

In addition to private lessons, I have a number of years of experience teaching music in a classroom setting and I've worked with many kinds of people including students with special needs. While I'm comfortable with all ages, I work particularly well with young kids and have a lot of experience adapting my teaching to accommodate different learning styles. I also love working with adults and believe that it's never too late to try something new.
