I've been teaching students for over 20 years, playing all styles and levels of music, from day-one beginners to seasoned pros seeking to sharpen their playing skills. I teach both traditional notation and tablature, writing my own teaching methods in both formats. I can transcribe any song or solo for you, and can arrange the music to fit your particular level of skill.

I earned a B.A. in Music Composition and an A.A. in music theory, and have worked as a professional musician since graduation. I play in a variety of bands that cover rock, jazz, surf, oldies, and country, and also write and arrange music for those bands as well as writing my own music that can be heard on my own Youtube channel.

I fell in love with the guitar when I was ten years old, and it’s been one of the most satisfying, long-lasting and healthiest romantic relationships of my entire life. I am still in love.

When I began to play AND sing, the magic multiplied. Through performing solo and with bands, I discovered that other people also enjoyed the magic that was being channeled through me musically.

Then I found that I could teach. This was a surprise to me. I found that I am the kind of person who can explain concepts and demonstrate technique in a way that makes the new information fun for a student. My students enjoy learning, and I enjoy the fact that they are enjoying it. It is SO MUCH FUN for me to see a student’s face light up because something suddenly makes sense to them, and they GET IT. Music has been a part of my life since I was 5 years old, when my father would record my brother and I singing. I always loved singing and learned many of my favorite songs as a child.

I started playing the trumpet in the 4th grade, which has led me all the way to receiving my degrees in Trumpet Performance and Music Education! I was lucky enough to attend one of the nation's top music schools, The Peabody Institute, and I now work toward my Master's degree at California State University, Long Beach. I have enjoyed performing in everything from big-band-lead to principal trumpet in the orchestra, leading brass quintets and brass ensembles, and much more! Glynis has been reading music since before she knew how to read words. Her mother started teaching her piano lessons at age 3, and she started taking voice lessons at age 7. She learned from an early age to practice every day. She has taught all levels and ages of piano and voice for many years. Glynis specializes in jazz voice, but has a very strong classical and musical theatre background. She is an arranger, composer, educator, and singer. She received her AA in Professional Music from SWCC, school for music vocations, then got her BA in Jazz Studies, Vocal Performance at CSU Sacramento. She is currently working on her Masters at the Bob Cole Conservatory inside of CSU Long Beach. While studying she is the Graduate Assistant for Christine Guter, and directs a vocal jazz ensemble at the school.

Patrick O'Konski is currently finishing his B.M. at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music with an emphasis in Music Performance. He has performed in many different musical settings, from band and orchestra to choirs, jazz and rock bands. Patrick is comfortable teaching all levels and ages and brings his wealth of experience in wide variety of genres to give the student the education they seek and deserve.

I am not just a teacher, having the experience of successfully launching a solo career in the pop markets and working with some of the best in the industry! Thus, not only do I give instruction on basic and intermediate singing technique(s), I also focuses heavily on the performance aspect of music.

I studied for 5 years at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU, Long Beach. I studied everything from Classical to Jazz, so I'm knowledgeable on how to yield results in various genres. My musical education, however, dates far before my collegiate career, offering assurance to my students that they will, indeed, get the most from their lessons: the Ability, the Finesse (sharpening of their natural talent), and the Confidence (which is one of the most vital elements of performance).

I'm a small town, Wyoming native and ventured to Boston, MA, where I received my bachelor of Fine Arts at the world renown Berklee College of Music. At Berklee, I studied vocal performance, songwriting and music business and became one of the premier vocalists on campus, regularly singing in the prestigious "Singer's Showcase" each year. Quickly after graduating, I was able to tour the United States and Canada in the national touring company of the Broadway smash musical, RENT. Since re-locating to the Southern California area, I've been sharing what I've learned during my career with students, performing in numerous musicals, venues and vocal groups, as well as honing my craft as a singer/songwriter. My song, "Drive", garnered honorable mention from the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in 2001. I have two full-length albums under my belt; "Haven't Had Enough" and "Finding Me," and I'm currently in the studio recording my third, which is due to be released in the Spring of...

I have spent years recording and using all kinds of guitar and audio gear such as tube amps, effect pedals, multi-effects units, keyboards, live delay/loopers and of course, computers and tape recorders. I have produced, written and performed complete album masters and my music is published with BMI. My original songs are distributed by CD Baby and available through iTunes and other music download sites. Currently use Apple products and Digidesign products for production of tracks and demos.

My first introduction to music was listening to my mom play piano and her dance instruction. As a youngster, watching live jams in our living room was my introduction to group music. My first lesson in music was on accordion and then guitar as a teenager. I continued private lessons for years, then studied music theory in junior college while playing in original bands and recording throughout Los Angeles in the "pay to play days"

Hello there! My name is Fernando, and I bring lots of profession playing and teaching experience to the table. I am an active musician in several local bands of various styles and genres, including jazz bands, latin jazz bands, sax quartets, church groups, and musicals. I have played across southern California, several other states including Nevada (Reno Jazz Festival), Portugal, and Mexico.

I am also an active woodwind teacher for various high schools across southern California, as well as a marching/visual coach for marching bands.

I am in the process of finishing my first album, I manage my own band, yet I still manage to dedicate lots of time and effort to my students and make sure that I am always doing my best to see them succeed.

I can teach everything from jazz, to classical, rock, blues, latin genres (salsa, merengue, bolero, mambo, etc.), and even contemporary Christian music in both English and Spanish.

I bring a dynamic and multifaceted perspective to the creative exploration of the percussive arts, with over 40 years of diverse musical experience which includes performing with Nigerian master drummer Francis Awe’s Talking Drum Ensemble, competing to top international honors with the Misty Isle Pipe Band, ensembles large and small covering music in a wide range of genres, as well as extended experience in solo accompaniment for modern dance and performance art.
