Miss Shannon M. is committed to providing excellent training in piano for students of all ages.

Shannon M. has a heart for music and specifically the piano. That heart for music shows itself in her teaching. She is an accomplished musician in her own right, playing both the piano and organ. As a teacher she is professional, yet deeply personal towards each student regardless of age or level of playing.

I have seen her in action as she teaches and also during the student recitals. I can highly recommend her to you as a teacher.

Andrei has been our weekly music teacher for more than three years. He teaches my son (now 9 years old) to read music and play the drums and the piano, and he teaches me to play the guitar.

Andrei has been nothing but reliable and generous with his time. He is proficient in music history and theory, in a wide range of musical styles, on multiple instruments. His patience, diverse knowledge and skills along with what appears to be an intuitive approach toward each of his varied students, has been very effective for us. Also, he knows A LOT of music, has a great ear and doesn't seem to mind working with us to play whatever tunes we come up with each week.

If you or your child wants to learn to play an instrument, this is the guy!

I like to use the Piano Adventures series of Piano instruction for my piano lessons. I use the Lesson book for teaching basic playing skills, the Theory book for basic theory, and the Performance book to teach students one piece of music at a time which can be performed. In addition to this, I like to eventually include one or two Hannon finger exercises, scales, and arpeggios. I feel this method of teaching will once again lead to well-rounded, quick improvement!

About Kathleen

I am currently studying at New York University in their Masters in Music program, with a Bachelors in Music Performance at The College of New Jersey. Some of my Primary flute teachers have been Jun Kubo and David DiGiacobbe, and I have taken lessons with flute players such as Brad Garner and Demarre McGill. I have taken and passed 4 Keyboard classes at The College of New Jersey designed in teaching a piano proficiency, as well as passed the Keyboard Proficiency Exam. In addition, I have been teaching both flute and piano since 2011.

Justin showed my 10 year old son how to play the trumpet and did a great job. He was patient, made my son feel comfortable and was able to help him get a better sound by the end of the very first lesson. Jalen does not give high praise easily so we were impressed that he enjoyed learning from him. My mother listened in on some of the lessons and she also said Justin did a great job - friendly personality and great tips on how to play. We highly recommend him.
