I'm lead vocalist, lead guitarist & songwriter in a widely known touring rock 'n' roll band. My songs have been licensed for national/international TV (E!, MTV, VH1, Oxygen, TBS and more) and in video games.
I have established a solid client base in my home teaching studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn working with guitarists/bassists, vocalists & composers of all ages and skill levels in styles including: Rock, Metal, Pop, Punk, Blues, Jazz, Funk, R&B, Classical.
I am highly experienced as an online (Skype, Facetime and G+) instructor, and I have taught online lessons worldwide ...
Beginner to advanced. My specialty is improvisation within a song. James Jamerson and Paul McCartney are 2 of my biggest influences. Soul, soul, soul! Bass is the foundation, the support, the groove and the melody that makes the feet move!
I am a working musician here in Brooklyn, New York. I started playing guitar the day before high school, my mother taught me my first chords. That was along time ago. Since then I've been blessed to live a musical life. I've had the good fortune to work with bands such as TV on The Radio as a live and studio musician. Music has allowed me to see the world now and I want to share my gifts with others as much as I can.
My brother and I taught each other how to play. We started playing in bands almost immediately. We really helped each other develop our ears. In a brief period of time we could play with just about any band. To me the best place to learn is on the bandstand, I can help you find your way there. I had a wonderful classical guitar teacher in high school named Bruce ...
I started playing guitar seriously at the age of 12 and have been a guitar teacher for 22 years. My first influences were rock and metal. In my later teens, I became very interested in other music genres such as jazz, fusion and classical. I began my formal music education as a Classical Guitar performance major, ultimately obtaining a Masters Degree in Music Composition from the Queens College Aaron Copland School of Music.
The road I have taken with music has been paved with many unexpected twists and turns. Throughout my many years of learning and making new discoveries, I have now arrived at a point where I am able to productively incorporate knowledge from various experiences with music and education into my own creativity and teaching. I never expect to stop learning or ...

In 10 years of teaching the bass guitar, I've guided students from their first encounter with the instrument through professional performance and college study. I love teaching the bass because playing the bass ties together so many fundamental elements of music in every genre.
While I have a degree in Jazz Performance on the double bass from NYU, I have performed on the electric bass professionally in many styles from jazz to rock, soul, funk, merengue, and everything in between. Studying the bass with me can be as focused or as broad as needed for each student. I enjoy all of my lessons, learning each and every baseline on Sgt Pepper's, focusing on reading skills and music theory, or improvising walking bass lines over jazz standards. I always focus on the goals of my students and how best to build a true understanding of the instrument, it's role in an ensemble, and the tradition of the music.
Cited by All About Jazz as a musician with "all the groovy elasticity necessary to encompass the melodic complexity of compositions," Isaac is a strong voice among a new generation of musicians. Discovering a love for the piano, guitar, and bass in his youth, Isaac began performing in coffee shops and jazz clubs at the age of 15, quickly becoming one of the most sought-after young musicians in Westchester County. While still in high school, Isaac had the opportunity to study with jazz legend John Patitucci. Isaac's selection for New York's prestigious All-State Festival came as no surprise.
Isaac graduated from New York University's undergraduate jazz program in 2009, where he studied with many seminal jazz musicians including Ari Hoenig, George Garzone, Kenny ...
