As a younger brother at the age of five, I began studying the piano because my older sister did. After my foundation in music strengthened I fell in love with the trumpet. At first, each note took time to develop and I enjoyed the challenge. The trumpet allowed me to travel all over the Southeast later in life and even to China with a 1940's Radio Show. I enjoyed many top-level bands the kindled my love and passion for good music. I want to share that kindling with my students in a nurturing and guiding situation, just like my teachers gave me.
I used to go to lessons and become so motivated and inspired that I thought I could change the world. I always knew that I would want to give back exactly that. My life revolves around music in all of its forms. I have studied piano since the age of 6 while singing ever since I knew how to make sound. Throughout my lifetime, I have been taught by some of the most influential teachers, and it is my goal to become one in your lifetime.

I began participating in theater at an early age. Once In high school, I had my first job as a Drama Teacher at Saltworks Young Actors Studio where I taught Improvisation, Monologues and Musical Theater to students ages 6 thru 16.

I went to Point Park University where I received a BA in Musical Theater in 2006. Throughout College, I was also teaching voice and piano lessons.

From the early age of eight when I heard my first recordings of Beethoven and Wynton Marsalis I fell in love with music and knew that I would dedicate my life to it. I started playing trumpet and piano and slowly began to write down my musical ideas into songs and compositions. Soon I was auditioning for the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy where I graduated from high school. I continued my education at Mannes Conservatory and New School University for Jazz where I studied jazz trumpet and classical composition.

I am a 20 year musician with 11 years teaching experience. Born and raised in New York City, I attended Laguardia high school for music and art and afterward Queens College majoring in music. My main instruments are Clarinet, Drums, and Saxophone, but i also have a strong background in Piano, Trumpet, and Flute. I've taken private music lessons for the past 15 years with world class musicians, among them David Weber and Howard Hirsch. In 2004, Joe helped establish ARTSaha!. He has been at the helm of some of festival’s most memorable events, doing everything from curating a program of Samuel Beckett’s short plays, to arranging a Rameau ballet-opera, and conducting Ballet Mecanique. He projected the US premieres of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s Cosmic Pulses and Friday Greeting at ARTSaha! 2008.
Joe moved to New York City after receiving his masters degree from the Yale School of Music. He frequently performs as a keyboardist in bands or on his recitals. He has given 9, 12 & 24-hour solo performances of John Cage’s ASLSP, and is currently working on a 48-hour version. His latest performance project is called dung.

I've appeared on records with dozens of NYC area rock and pop bands, and perform as a classical and jazz trombonist in all five boroughs and New Jersey.

I listen to and play all kinds of music from Beethoven to Stravinsky, Arcade Fire to Beyonce, James Brown to Snoop Dogg/Lion. I have had the pleasure to share the stage with rockers Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots), and Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), and jazz greats Maynard Ferguson, Jimmie Lunceford, Conrad Herwig, "Blue" Lou Marini, and Jeff Coffin (Flecktones).

Patrick A's musical background started at the piano when he was only five. By the age of 11, he was looking for other instruments to expand his musical interest . He decided on the trumpet and started playing in the middle-school band. It wasn't until a couple of years later, after hearing his first jazz recordings of Miles Davis and Louis Armstrong, that he really started taking a serious interest in trumpet. Throughout high school Patrick practiced as much as possible, earning him a full scholarship to the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. There he had the opportunity to study and learn from several musical greats, including Sean Jones, Marcus Belgrave, Jamey Haddad, Dan Wall, and Billy Hart. At Oberlin, Patrick took a keen interest in composition, and sought out the advice of his teachers. Andrew is an emerging composer, arranger, and teacher living in New York City. His composition, Out of His Element, won the coveted Downbeat Award for Best Original Extended Composition in 2010, and in 2011 he was the winner of the New York Youth Symphony First Music Commission Award. As part of the commission, Andrew’s big band chart titled Lit by Lightning was premiered at The Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Andrew is also a talented performer and was named a semi-finalist in the National Trumpet Competition’s jazz division (2012). Andrew is dedicated to teaching piano and trumpet students of all ages the endless joy music has to offer. Andrew received most of his teaching methods from his mother who is the Head of Educational Piano at Hal Leonard Publishing Company. Andrew received his Master’s of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado and his Bachelor’s of Music in Trumpet Performance from the University of Kansas.

Originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, trumpeter Alex has strong skills conducive to playing, and teaching, many styles of music including classical, big band, orchestral, and theater. Most recently, Alex toured North America playing trumpet, flugelhorn and piccolo trumpet on the national tours of "South Pacific" and Disney's "Beauty and the Beast." While on tour, Alex successfully auditioned for Cirque du Soleil and is awaiting final round auditions for Kooza, Zumanity, and La Nouba.

Before moving to NYC, Alex gained professional experience playing trumpet on the high seas with Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity and Azamara Cruise Lines. I am a graduate of Montclair State University with a Bachelors degree in music education and a minor in sociology. I have also received an Associate’s degree in music from Brookdale Community College and have been playing the French Horn since I was 10-years-old and the piano since I was 14-years-old.
