Arithmetic, Basic Math, Elementary Math, English, French, Japanese, Math, Pre Algebra, Reading, Sewing

About Me

I've been studying French for 7 years and Japanese for 4 and have tutored in both subjects. I even received the language department award in my senior year of high school. I'm also majoring in English at the moment, and can answer any questions regarding that subject, including essay writing, reading, grammar, ect. Many of my friends ask me to edit their essays and it's something I really enjoy doing. I have also been a math tutor for a few years and feel most comfortable tutoring Pre-Algebra.

*** Lesson Details ***
I'm a laid back, patient tutor, and I like to go over concepts a few times with my students. I find it's best to provide plenty of examples and really take the problems step by step, especially for math. It's also very important to me to go over past quizzes and see where students may be struggling, so I can pinpoint what we need to work on together, as one or two hours can go by quickly! I also encourage students to think critically and try to find the answer by themselves, as it's hardly beneficial to simply give them the answers, especially after I've showed them how to work through the problem. Typically, I like to take a look at what the student is learning in class and use the textbook that is required for the course, as that's the material they will be tested on. Expect to be more proficient in whatever we study together!

*** Studio Equipment ***
For language learning and English, I have beginner-advanced textbooks.

About Me

I've been playing the piano since 9 years old. I have been doing many of the arts since 11 years old. I have assisted teachers and worked with many ages of children and teens since 1996. I enjoy playing the piano and doing many arts and crafts for myself and others when I have the time. I would rather teach others and enjoy with others doing arts, crafts, and music as much as I can. I have had over 6 years of education working with those of special needs. Managing behavior was learned in the bachelor program that I completed.
