About Erin

Born in Queens and raised in Tokyo, Japan, I started performing at the age of nine. I made my stage debut in the ensemble of Tokyo Theatre for Children’s production of Cinderella where my mother played the Stepmother and my father was also in the ensemble. Upon moving back to the U.S. in the eighth grade, I started performing in my school’s shows in Northport, NY. By the end of my junior year, I made the decision that I wanted to pursue a degree in theatre. After my freshman year in The Ohio State University’s Bachelor of Arts program, I decided she wanted to dive deeper and transferred to The University of Arizona where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre in December 2011. She has helped me tremendously! We have a good time learning and laughing during my lessons with her. She had also helped me to stop listening to what others think about my voice and focus on believing in myself as I learn and progress. Risks l thanks

Desiree puts the fun in fundamentals!

I decided to take voice lessons for pleasure as a hobby to keep my mind off of the stresses of daily life. I had a lot of confidence issues to get over when I started taking lessons with Desiree; mainly because I didn't want to embarrass myself like those people I make fun of on American Idol. Her non-threatening teaching style has been the perfect fit for me...although she does raise her voice at me when I judge myself too harshly, but I won't count against her ;) My confidence has soared and I feel that I'm a much bolder and more comfortable singer. I’m enjoying every minute of discovering my voice with Desiree. I've still got some work to do but I'm confident she'll help me reach my goals.

Voices are a Gift

Desiree has helped my sister and I develop our vocal skills and work to our full potential. She has also helped us realize that our voices are a gift and we need to treasure them. Desiree has strengthened our confidence in signing in front of people as well as signing in general. She is more than just a teacher she is a role model and a person we feel we can count on.

What I DIDN'T Know

Emily is an awesome coach and instructor. Yes I said coach! A coach actually encourages you, and that is what she did for me. Anyway, as for the title, "What I DIDN'T Know", there were things in film auditions that I didn't know that would were actually sabotaging my chances for auditions. Emily worked on these real quick and fixed them up.Long story short, I had an audition yesterday, and using Emily's lessons's the casting director said, "Wow, that was actually really good"

Excellent Instructor

I've spent years developing bad singing habits. Emily has been very patient and has helped me fix many of those bad habits one step at a time. I've made significant progress in a few short months and would recommend her to anyone looking to study voice.
