"Stature is not measured in inches." That is my motto.
There is no one too young or too old to have fun in music. My professional life as a working musician and private instructor is based on that idea. There is no one too good to learn something new, so every day something new needs to be learned. And no one too old to have a great time playing music!
My instructors from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass, my Alma Mater, gave that encouragement to me, and I pass that on to my students.
My experience has also shown me that, as those better than me teach me much, I also love to share whatever I learn that will give my students the same joy that I have received learning and playing music.

I have a laid back approach with my students that allows them to be aware of what is expected of them without taking away the fun of getting there.
As I emphasize playing music as being fun, reading and theory(being goals to achieve) will be worked on next to the students choice of one song/tune each lesson that they want to learn.
