Ryan H. has received a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Arts degree from Truman State University with concentrations in Piano Performance. Ryan is experienced in giving recitals as a soloist as well as accompanying numerous instrumentalists, vocalists, and choirs. He has also had the opportunity of being the Truman State University Orchestra’s Keyboardist for several years. Passionate, knowledgeable of the instrument, and with vast performance expertise Ryan is also personable, friendly, and patient.

I began taking piano lessons when I was six years old, but switched to guitar lessons at age ten. Ever since then, my passion has been playing guitar and songwriting. I am a music composition honors major at UCSD.
Whether you want to learn to be a guitar virtuoso or you just want to be able to play some songs for your friends and family, I want to provide you with the best information and tools to help you accomplish your goals. I believe in trying to get the most out of the minimum - I want you to get the most benefit out of the time you spend, regardless if you are practicing for thirty minutes or for eight hours.
My background focuses mostly on classical, rock/metal, and jazz, and my specialty is the electric guitar. I can also help you learn classical guitar on a nylon string guitar if you prefer, including some flamenco.

I love people of all ages. And I love helping them discover what beautiful things they can create, especially in the world of music. Music is such a powerful way to express ourselves, and I love helping others learn how to do this and really enjoy it.

I have played piano since I was three. When I was able to read at age four, I began lessons, and the rest is history. I graduated from Wheaton Conservatory of Music with a degree in Piano Performance, and completed a Master's degree in Piano Performance at University of Redlands. I love to perform, have written several songs, with and without lyrics, produced three CD's all with original music I perform, and am now in the process of writing a musical. I love seeing people get touched with music and love to create and help others perform music that really speaks to the heart. It's my passion.

During the past 11 years, Stacey has worked with students ranging from age 5 to 75 teaching classical, musical theater, Christian, and pop music. She accepts students of all ages, styles, and levels. Her students learn through vocal exercises, ear training, song, and performance techniques. Students also learn how to keep their voices healthy and are encouraged to participate in performing venues outside of lessons. The opportunity to compete in NATS competitions is an option for all students who fulfill the requirements.

After teaching in New York and Ohio, Stacey held a teaching position at American River College and operated her private voice studio in Sacramento, California for 6 years. She recently relocated to San Diego where she maintains her private voice studio. I began playing the violin and piano when I was 4 years old. My mother was a piano teacher for over 30 years with contagious passion for music and her students, so with training in perfect pitch, sight-reading, and other musicianship skills, I began performing solo and in ensembles. I soon became an assistant teacher, beginning my own private lessons. Since elementary school, I've been a part of the church choir, school band, and orchestra. As I entered high school, I decided to become more active and take leadership in the ensembles. I became the Concert Mistress of the symphonic and string orchestra and held onto my first chair until graduation. I also participated in the San Jose Philharmonic Orchestra, as first violinist. Not only do I love chess and running marathons, but I also have three degrees in drums and percussion (Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate). I have ten years experience as a performer (including playing drums on a GRAMMY nominated album) with orchestras, touring big bands (Jimmy Dorsey, Five-By-Design), professional productions (Carnival Cruise Lines, amusement parks), jazz artists, and rock bands. I have also toured solo as a classical marimbist. Although I have a strong foundation in rudimental and jazz drumming, I also have roots in West African drumming, Cuban and Brazilian styles, and polka.

Jordan was born and raised in the El Centro, California where he began playing the alto sax in the elementary band program. At the age of 12, he began his study of guitar and drums, performing in several rock and ska bands around his home town and San Diego. At age 14, is where he found his love for brass instruments when he took up the trombone. While in high school he became a featured soloist with the Imperial Valley College Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of the legendary trumpeter Jimmy Cannon. It was this that lead Jordan to accept the Constance Weldon Music Scholarship to attend the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL.

Kimberly is originally from Chattanooga, TN where she began taking violin lessons at age 6. She spent several years playing with the Chattanooga Youth Symphony and appeared as a soloist during her senior year in high school. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Cedarville University, her Master’s Degree in Violin Performance from the University of Northern Colorado, her D.M. from Florida State University, and recently completed a second Master’s Degree from Kent State University with a focus in Chamber Music under the coaching of the Miami String Quartet. Hello! I'm Andrew (but you knew that) and I play guitar!
I have been teaching for just over 3 years, and have studied through both private tutelage and the Ubiquitous Music curriculum. I have studied music theory and composition at Palomar college as well as privately with a graduate from the Berklee School of Music, and have studied arrangement techniques, sound engineering and reinforcement, and mixing techniques with a student of Blink 182's producer. My guitar education has been more widely varied, and includes lessons with a Musician's Institute graduate, a Berklee School of Music graduate, and several other professional guitarists in varying fields and styles.

I have been teaching in public schools for more than 15 years and have played for award winning bands. With me you will sound great on the guitar in a short period of time even if you are a beginner. You will learn everything from simple chords and strumming to screaming leads.

I offer a fun, interactive teaching style that encompasses more than 20 years of performing and 15 years of teaching experience. As a performer I have worked as a professional singer, actor, musician, and dancer. I have always had a passion for teaching, directing, and composing. While my love for performing has lessened over the years, I have found my true calling: teaching, directing, and helping others to find their passion for music and the performing arts.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a special emphasis in music, theatre, dance, and psychology. I am a graduate candidate working on completing my thesis as my final requirement for a Masters of Arts degree in Music at San Diego State University.
