With a Masters from UNT in Radio-TV-Film and a Masters from India in English Literature, I have what it takes to prepare a student for academic excellence in English (Composition and Grammar), Reading, Writing, History, Science, GRE, SAT, Dance, Film-making and Acting Classes.
I have been teaching since 2008: Film courses, Acting courses and English Composition Writing courses. Currently I'm teaching in the Dallas County District (English Composition). I began teaching because I enjoyed interacting with my students and found it very motivating to see them learn and expand their knowledge of a subject, be it acting, writing, dancing or any other academic subject. I was a Technical Writer in leading Telecom Industries in the DFW area. Along with doing Technical Writing I also love teaching as the results in mu students are very inspiring.
One of my major influences is my Grand-dad who is a devoted writer and won the President's Award in 2012 (India). I love his passion and dedication to his field. I'm also very inspired by actors such as Meryl Streep, Jack Nicholson, Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson. I enjoy soft rock and love to hear to the Beatles, Pink Floyd, ACDC, the Doors, Foreigner and love Indian Classical dance (Odissi) and Music.
I'm a passionate teacher and artist (Odissi, film-making, acting, and bollywood dancing). I also love Yoga. I enjoy reading D.H. Lawrence, Shakespeare, Emily Bronte, Walt Whitman, and am influenced by Meisner school of acting.
