I am a professional multi-instrumentalist (Drums, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Flute) and teacher offering individualized lessons for each student to achieve their musical potential. I have a Bachelor of Music in performance and composition from East Carolina University. My experience is in a variety of musical situations including rock and jazz bands, original music, orchestras and concert bands, as well as recording projects.

I have always loved Guitar. As a child I started playing Air Guitar and quickly graduated to a tennis racquet in front of the mirror. I knew the day I received my first guitar that I would play guitar for the rest of my life. Now I owe so much to all of my teachers for all the knowledge, guidance, and support. Now I am dedicated to helping as many guitarist reach their goals and play to their full potential.

As a 15 year old teen I was headed no where. I had no interests, and was failing my freshman year of high school.This is when I started playing the guitar and fell in love with music. As I studied under my dad who was a professional musician my mind started to open up. My attention span grew. My problem solving skills and comprehension improved to such a degree that my grades went up to the honor level in my sophomore year. I graduated with a 4.0 so I preach and stress the importance of learning a musical instrument.
I got into teaching only 4 years after I first picked up the guitar and immediately found that it was what I wanted to do for a living. Oh sure! As a music teacher, I am very passionate about my trade. Not simply because I enjoy music or have a talent in the area, but because I literally love talking about, working on, and helping others understand music. Over 25 years experience as a guitarist, bassist, performer, songwriter and teacher. I specialize in Rock, Blues, Country, Pop, Metal, Jazz styles on guitar and bass. I'm currently playing bass in an original band called The Sedans and two 80's tribute bands called 80s Rewind and The Pacmen in addition to teaching and coaching young bands at West Coast Rock School.

I have performed professionally at Disneyland, was former musical director for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and have toured professionally with many groups; including Phil Wilson's Rainbow Band and the AlcoSKAlics.

Teaching has been a passion of mine since the mid-'90s. I have taught students that were as young as 5 years old to 80 years old. I can teach and play a variety of instruments, including: keyboards, bass, drums, latin percussion, brass instruments and acoustic guitar. I also teach compostion, arranging, and conducting.

Many of my formers students have gone on to become professional musicians, teachers, and recording artists.

I have been teaching group and private lessons for about 30 years now. I've been a contract teacher for The City Of Chino Hills for about 10 years, and have taught for the cities of Chino, Diamond Bar and Walnut as well.

I have performed since the late 70s in many bands and have met an played with a lot of good musicians. In the 80s, we were part of the scene that rocked the Sunset Strip and all over Southern California. Today, I perform with my wife in our Pat Benatar tribute band, HeartBreaker which was founded in 1999. We have performed many concerts since then, and have performed in front of thousands! We have performed in Japan for our naval troops, Canada, Arizona, Las Vegas as well as many California Casinos, Concerts In The Park and other venues.

I have over 15 years of playing and songwriting experience, and have over 10 years of recording, performing, and teaching experience. Introducing people to new techniques and musical ideas is always rewarding to me because it reminds me of the magic I have felt when learning a new way to further my musical ability. I have written, recorded and performed original material as well as cover songs both in various groups and by myself on multiple instruments. I have often been the first person people would call when they needed a short notice fill-in musician to perform with their group, both for short term and long term.
