In addition to performing as the principal bassoonist for the Capital Orchestra, I get to play in the New Albany Symphony. Capital’s Double Reed Ensemble, the woodwind quintet “Gailforce Winds,” Chamber Orchestra, Chapel Choir, and is the bassoonist for the operas held at Capital. For two years now, I have been awarded the Symphony Club of Central Ohio’s Scholarship for Outstanding Orchestral Achievement. I am really active int he double reed community and am anxious to attend the International Double Reed Society convention this Summer.
In addition to performing, I am the Pre-k children's choir director at Bexley United Methodist Church. She has taught private lessons for 4 years ranging from age 5-18. Every student presents new challenges and I am always anxious to work with the parents and student to find what will help them learn and love music as much as possible....
