My name is Ricky. I received my bachelor's in Music from Nyack College. I am currently pursuing my master's degree in Music Education at Mt. St. Mary's University. I have been playing music for over 15 years now. I can play a variety of different instruments in several different styles. I have been a music director for several bands for many years. I am currently a music producer for several local artists in which I am in charge of overlooking the musical direction of the albums. I found my mom’s guitar tucked away in the attic when I was nine years old and banged around on it for about a year hoping that I would miraculously be able to play like Micky Mars from Motley Crue. ...Eventually, my parents persuaded me to take lessons. I am a composer, arranger, and producer with a continual appreciation for music and the arts. I embarked on my musical journey at a young age, receiving instruction in basic piano, moving on to study classical piano, and then learning jazz piano. I began writing solo compositions for piano as an early teen, and quickly thereafter learned how to use recording equipment. I also learned to play the saxophone as a child, playing in various elementary and high-school school bands. Often would my father, brother and I perform events held at our church as a saxophone trio, playing standard jazz pieces from the 1950s and '60s.
