About Me

*** Studio Equipment ***
living room music stands seating for parents

*** Travel Equipment ***
For voice lessons, I do not have a piano at this time, so it is helpful if the student does. I can only teach violin and acting students in my home as I do not have a piano. I can provide initial copies of music if the student does not wish to purchase books..
For violin lessons, the student would be expected to provide their own instrument and music stand. Again, I can provide initial copies of music. Any acting students would be expected to provide their own scripts unless I have something they are interested that I can copy for them. I would expect all students to provide a pencil for themselves, and a note book for practice log and lesson notes.

*** Specialties ***
Mostly classical singing and technique, but have experience in broadway singing. Familiar with/have used suzuki violin technique. Also studied acting as a singer as well as straight acting. Could coach monologues and such.

Baking and cooking tutorials can be done in my home or in the students. I would expect the student to provide ingredients that we could discuss ahead of time.

Subjects Taught

Baking, Cooking, Desserts, Italian Cooking, Makeup, Mixology, Spanish

About Me

As a graduate from Triton College, with a Degree in Restaurant Management, I am blessed to say that I have received a copious amount of excellent training from some of the best instructors that I have ever met. Through my professional training I was able to perfect the skills that I had been practicing since adolescence. I was lucky enough to, not only study their cooking but their teaching techniques as well. These techniques are the exact same techniques that I apply to my students. I had the privilege of teaching in the summer and noticed that the students and I were able to connect wonderfully and that they were confident in the skills that they had learned.

Digging into my background a little, I was born in Chicago, Illinois but I was raised a large part of my life in Moca, Puerto Rico. Because of this, I am fluent in Spanish. I have taken the College Board exam here and have been able to receive 16 college credits for all four levels of Spanish. I am confident that I would be able to teach Spanish and a second language, with great ease. Also, being a Mary Kay consultant, I have been able to learn a few makeup tips and tricks and would be more than happy to share them with my current and future students.

Students will see that taking lessons from me will be a fun and rewarding experience. We will learn a lot while enjoying ourselves in a private home environment.
Culinary students get to eat from what they have cooked and receive recipes with full grocery lists of what they will need.
Spanish students receive various notes and links and are able to play various games.
Makeup students have access to samples and an online store to purchase what they have tried on.

*** Lesson Details ***
A brief overview of how my classes are set up is as follows:

Day one will consist of introductions and brief discussion on the basics of the topic being discussed. This may or may not include fundamentals, history, student interview, etc.

Day two and onward, classes will progressively/cumulatively build on the previous lesson. Lessons will become more in depth, detailed, and elaborate.

By the end of the student’s need for lessons, the student will be confident in his/her ability to successfully complete the task without any assistance or guidance. However, should the student wish to return for further development, the lesson plan will easily continue where the student last left off, for easy accommodation.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Culinary Students: All basic equipment is provided. If any student has any particular equipment which they are familiar with and would like to bring to class, that is permitted. Students need only bring a pen/pencil, notebook, and folder/binder

Spanish Students: All reading material and links will be provided in class. Students need only bring a pen/pencil notebook, and folder/binder.

Makeup students: All makeup and creams will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring their own makeup brushes, sponges, and a washcloth.

*** Travel Equipment ***
No travel equipment needed.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in Mexican cuisine, Puerto Rican cuisine, and Italian Cuisine. I am fluent in the Spanish language. I am also very familiar with all Mary Kay brand makeup products.
