About Jesse

My Background

I've been playing with classical ensembles and rock bands since 2001. Even though I started on classical trombone and rock guitar, I have come to expand my repertoire to a variety of instruments and genres. During my time in college I performed with the University choir, orchestra, and band. I also have organized, wrote/arranged for, and performed with a variety of bands in my home state of New Mexico, as well as Japan, and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Since 2006 I have been an active teacher. This profession has taken me everywhere from working with classical guitar classes in New Mexico high schools to Elementary students in Japan to a variety of private students of various musical instruments and genres everywhere I've been. Since relocating to the Bay ...

Both my boys took lessons with Jordan over the summer (sax and trumpet) and they loved it! They both talked about him all week leading up to the next lesson and what they were going to learn next. So far they have both flourished in their band classes this school year! I can't say enough, he's a great teacher!

INSPIRATION!!! I have been now, taking lessons from Jordan for 6 months. Each time I leave my finish with him, I am disappointed that I have run out of time. I've extended my lesson time, and it never is enough. As I depart, I am excited and inspired to continue on to do better than the last time. Three days after my lesson, I find myself counting the days to my next lesson.

Jordan has my highest recommendation for leadership, and education. A fine instructor, and an enjoyable inspiration. He will not disappoint.

I teach all levels and styles: contemporary, Hawaiian, jazz, Japanese, etc.

About Glenn

Hi, I'm Glenn. Thank you for viewing my profile. I've been teaching students for over 20 years, playing all styles and levels of music, from day-one beginners to seasoned pros seeking to sharpen their playing skills. I teach both traditional notation and tablature, writing my own teaching methods in both formats. I can transcribe any song or solo for you, and can arrange the music to fit your particular level of skill.

I earned a B.A. in Music Composition and an A.A. in music theory, and have worked as a professional musician since graduation. I play in a variety of bands that cover rock, jazz, surf, oldies, and country, and also write and arrange music for those bands as well as writing my own music that can be heard on my own YouTube channel.

A patient teacher obviously well versed in music theory, who disseminates information in an easily adaptable manner. No rodomontad thrasonic bombastries, he paces teaching to the rate at which I'm learning, as he evaluates my progress.

Great Lessons

I had special needs as I'm old and already performing in public solo. He has tailored the lessons to my needs perfectly and I've learned a great deal in a very short period of time. I've recommended him to a couple of other musicians that I know. I plan to continue with him for quite a while.

I have had the opportunity to really stretch the limits of the ukulele because of the classes I teach with the instrument. In addition to the typical strum-along style of Uke playing, I can teach the Ukulele in a great deal of styles and using a great number of techniques.

About Jared

I have been happily playing music for over half of my life and it has always been the light in my day. Now it is my hope to shed that same light onto you or your child. I am a very friendly and fun teacher with a great deal of professionalism and patience, even more importantly I love teaching and music with a passion.

I have been playing an instrument since the 4th grade (cello) and, as I learned how music works, was slowly able to pick-up a greater variety instruments with an increasing degree of ease. In high school, I decided to pick-up the guitar just to "have fun and rock out". I joined a band, played in the high school orchestra, joined the high school jazz band and began to practice songwriting and cover songs. Still, it was not until after I took my first class on ...

Jared has been helping my 14-year old daughter become passionate about playing cello again. My daughter had taken years of conventional school lessons and had all but given up due to boredom and monotony. She has only had a couple of lesson from Jared but so far, so good. Even the tone in my daughter's voice regarding her cello has improved so much. She sounds excited and proud regarding playing and I am so glad!

So, Jared is a one-of-a kind person who is able to tailor his craft to you. He is observant and watches you carefully, "tuning" his coaching to exactly what you need, when you need it. He is affable and easy to learn from. As if that isn't enough, he is - hands down - an excellent musician. He is a pioneer, willing to stretch to use technology to make things work for his students. Recently we managed a Bossa duet (guitar and cello) via Skype. He is exceptional and has my highest recommendation.

I have played the ukulele for several years, mostly for fun since very few professional gigs call for it. However, I have used it when producing tracks to add a different texture to a piece.

About Jordan

11 years ago, I picked up a guitar and began my life-long pursuit of music. This pursuit has led me in a wide variety of directions. Today, I am the worship leader for Living Life Church, a private guitar instructor at Covenant Christian Academy, a freelance producer, film-composer, and performing musician. Some of my credits and projects are available on my LinkedIn profile and my Reverbnation profile.

I have a passion for a wide variety of styles of music. For several years, I was the lead guitarist, singer, and songwriter for multiple independent bands, the most notable being an indie psychedelic band called Tod The Fox. I have led worship for Grace Fellowship UMC, Brazos Pointe Church, Bear Creek Community Church, The Cornerstone College Ministry at UTA, and the BSM at UTA in ...
