I started my formal music education when I was in the third grade, taking classical piano lessons at my parents’ request. I progressed steadily but never felt truly connected to what I was doing. Two years later, I was introduced to pop piano music through the worship band at my church. I am a member of American Strings Teacher's Association, National Association for Music Educators (Maryland Music Educators Association), and the Music Teachers National Association (Music Teachers Association of Charles County). Hi! My name is Dan and I offer guitar lessons at all levels of instruction. I have been playing guitar for 15 years and have had 10 years+ experience of playing with bands and in the studio. I play almost every style that you can think of, although I specialize in fingerstyle with a thumbpick! This is my favorite style to play because of how fun it is! I have also learned several styles ranging from Stevie Ray Vaughan/Jimi Hendrix, to George Benson/Wes Montgomery, to Steve Vai/Eric Johnson.

-I attended Ohio State University's top tier Jazz School for 2 years. I also studied with a couple of the best teachers in the country.

-I have played on stage with Tommy Emmanuel, and Frank Vignola (Two of the best guitar players on the planet right now!).
Currently, I play for 2 AWESOME bands in Cleveland, work for School of Rock, and also teach several other students. I put 8+ hours a day into my craft. I am a full-time musician and I love it! Music is my life!

I'm surrounded by music and musicians everyday! I spend most of my hours recording musicians in my studio, but get the most benefit out of teaching students there. I Give my students the opportunity to not only learn to master their instrument, but also the chance to learn how to be a studio musician. Students of mine have the opportunity to record any of their lessons (that we hold in my studio) as i feel most students never get the opportunity to hear themselves play. I graduated from Ball State University under the instruction of Hans Sturm, former President of the International Society of Bassists.

I'm a Berklee graduate with a degree in music. I have over 15 years experience playing composing and performing. I will teach you guitar, bass or beginner keyboard in any given style. I'm great with music theory and ear training, and will work to make you a better musician.

I have been blessed to make my living in the arts for many years. As a professional actress, musical director, producer and vocalist, I have seen how the Broadway and concert community work first-hand.
