Joe's strong music background and experience make him a good teacher. I'm positive that he would be excellent with a beginner. I only needed a refresher in knowledge and he has helped me a great deal. I would strongly recommend him for future students
Felipe G. San Antonio, TX

The perfect cross between the violin and the guitar, the mandolin is such a fun instrument to learn to play! Materials used include Hal Leonard's Mandolin Method.

About Felipe

Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Felipe Garcia and I am a self-taught, multi-instrumentalist. I began teaching music in 2010 and have loved it ever since. I believe learning to play music can be fun and easy and I work hard to make sure your experience with music is one that will inspire you to play for the rest of your life, for as Friedrich Nietzsche said, “without music, life would be a mistake.”

My experience with music began long ago when I begged my parents to buy me a drumset and they finally gave in and bought me one when I was 14. Prior to that, I had no real experience with music except as a listener. I taught myself how to play by playing along with CDs of my favorite bands and eventually I felt like the drums wasn’t enough, so I ...

Felipe is a great teacher! He is patient and very knowledgeable. He makes it fun in a relaxing setting. I'm grateful to be his student. I thought at my age (40's) it would be intimidating, but Felipe makes you feel comfortable and confident that anything is possible. So if you have considered learning to play guitar or other instruments...just do it! And call Felipe!

I've only had three lessons with Rodrigo but so far all of them have exceeded my expectations of a music instructor. Rodrigo is a great guy and accordionist. I like how I'm learning music theory along with my instrument because it will help me if I decide to learn more instruments. Thanks Rodrigo!

If you want to learn the correct technique in playing the mandolin, we suggest that you consider signing up for our mandolin lessons. Our lessons can help shape your talent in playing this unique-sounding instrument. In addition, through your mandolin lessons you can learn more about its application in ...
