About Me

Let's see, first and foremost I'm a music lover of the highest order. Whether it's jazz, rock, indie, classical, hip-hop or country, if it's good music, I love it. I take great pride in the fact that when I go out for a run and put my ipod on shuffle, I could end up listening to just about anything; from the Beatles to the Arcade Fire, Miles Davis, Igor Stravinsky, Stephen Sondheim, Phish, Kanye West or Johny Cash.

I grew up obsessively listening to everything i could get my hands on, and began playing guitar at the age of 11. That was cut short, though, when the next year I almost lost my middle finger on my left hand in an ice skating incident. It took 5 years for me to regain the strength and motion, during which time I was forced to give up guitar playing altogether. I never lost my passion for music, though, and in my heart i never stopped dreaming about what it would be like to be a professional musician. About Me

Zachary is a multi-talented teacher and performer. He teaches violin, piano, guitar, voice, mandolin, banjo and more. As a singer/ songwriter, he has released 3 cds, tours nationally with over 100 dates per year and has shared the stage with multiple multi-Grammy award winners. He is an inspirational and motivational based teacher; he will make you or your child LOVE making music rather than dreading their weekly lesson. He has a BA in music performance and has taught for 10 years. He is an exceptionally talented and in-demand teacher and performer.

About Me

I started taking music very seriously in middle school when I began guitar lessons at a local music shop. I was inspired at the time to learn all of my favorite Beatles songs as well as the punk music I was totally obsessed with. At the time I was fortunate enough to have been learning from a college educated musician Dr. Mark Cook, director of Composition and Music Theory at Shepherd University and Gerry Kunkel, Guitar chair at Maryland University. My passion for music grew exponentially from this point on and I spent the next years playing in as many ensembles as possible in school as well as my own bands with friends, a chance for me to work on my own compositions. As my drive for music increased I began taking lessons for other instruments including piano, trombone, and voice. This constant practice and dedication to the study of theory eventually resulted in my acceptance to the University of the Arts in Philadelphia to study jazz guitar performance.

Hello and welcome to my profile!
I have been teaching guitar for over a decade and love doing it. Before we get into how you can succeed as a guitarist here is a little background about me. I grew up in a small town and began playing guitar at age 12. I was taught a few chords from friends and tried to learn songs from tabs on the Internet. After a couple years I realized the need for formal training, so I began taking classical guitar lessons. I was introduced to formal music instruction and my abilities really blossomed. I became enamored with the guitar, and music as a whole, and decided to pursue music as a profession. I attended University of Colorado at Denver and received a Bachelors in Jazz Guitar performance.
Throughout college I taught guitar in various settings. I developed a weekend guitar program for Aurora Public Schools, conducted jazz clinics at Overland Trail Middle School, and was the Summer Music Director for Mracheck Middle School. I always held a...

Born in Arlington, Texas, I began playing guitar and bass guitar in high school. After studying for several years under Joey Faust, I studied Jazz, Classical Guitar, and Music Theory at TCC in Fort Worth. I've been teaching for 7 years, my students ranging in age from 4 to over 50. I also play piano, mandolin, banjo, and ukulele.

We can then take it from there down any of the wonderful musical paths you choose, from playing for your own enjoyment, for your friends & family, all the way up to a crowd of thousands! I can show you how & why music works in an easy to understand way, & make it possible for you to continue on your own musical journey well equipped. I have taught all ages & styles of music on many instruments for many decades & never tire of sharing the joy of playing & understanding a musical instrument.

About Me

Robert's exemplary and diverse career all began when he was a very small boy. His magical, musical journey began with his Grandfather, Donald Mcullick, a country singer/guitarist, who spent the 1950's touring and performing with blockbuster artists such as Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison. Grandpa would take his young protégé out to the swing under the apple tree in the backyard and show him songs on an old acoustic guitar. He would later give that guitar to Robert. That guitar was the key to the music box of Robert's life. A life long dedicated to the art and craft of music.

Robert's high school years were very non-traditional. While most students spent time at football games and pep rallies, Robert spent his time performing in pit orchestras and composing for local theater companies. His extensive theater credits include work with the Hampton Playhouse, the Portsmouth Academy of Performing Arts, the Seacoast Reparatory Company and the Portland Stage Company. Robert...
