I have been teaching guitar for over a decade and love doing it. Before we get into how you can succeed as a guitarist here is a little background about me. I grew up in a small town and began playing guitar at age 12. I was taught a few chords from friends and tried to learn songs from tabs on the Internet. After a couple years I realized the need for formal training, so I began taking classical guitar lessons. I was introduced to formal music instruction and my abilities really blossomed. I became enamored with the guitar, and music as a whole, and decided to pursue music as a profession. I attended University of Colorado at Denver and received a Bachelors in Jazz Guitar performance.

My name is Felipe and I am a graduate of the University of North Texas where I studied Music Theory and am classically trained at the guitar. I am currently persuing my master's degree at Texas State University. I can play many instruments and love helping others learn how to play and have fun.

My introduction to music was when I got a drum set my sophomore year of high school. I taught myself to play by playing along with my favorite bands like Pearl Jam, the Smashing Pumpkins and the Beatles. I started teaching myself to play the guitar two years later during my senior year of high school. Soon after, I learned how to play electric bass, ukulele and mandolin. Since then, I have played in many garage bands and pursued an education in music.

My teaching style is very laid-back. I understand that all students, no matter what age, are different. I don't expect everyone to learn music my way but help to put music in terms that the student understands and feels...

I've been playing guitar for most of my life. I started playing at age ten and teaching privately at fourteen. In 2004 I was accepted to Berklee College of Music on a scholarship and while there I became well-versed in a wide variety of guitar playing styles, including Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, and Metal.

I earned my music degree at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music with a degree in guitar performance and I'm currently getting my Master's in guitar performance from Belmont University.

Born and raised in Brooklyn NY, I started taking piano lessons and at age 11 and at age 14, I got my first guitar and started taking lessons. I read, write, and play all styles and I focus on teaching the student fundamentals that work in all styles of music ....AND I get them going on the style they are interested in - pop, rock, country, folk, etc.

I have spent my entire life in the music industry and I can show you how to use what I teach to apply to the real world. I have also been a successful songwriter and I can work with students to learn about song structure and song writing.

Tom graduated from Tufts University in Boston with a B.A. in Music. During this time he studied and performed recitals in both classical and jazz guitar styles, composed original guitar music, and participated in jazz and classical music performance ensembles. After Tufts he continued his training in music education with courses at the Hartt School of Music and Central Connecticut State University.

With all of his students, regardless of age or ability, the emphasis is placed on technique, since it is the foundation for tackling increasingly challenging pieces of music. He teaches warmup exercises that build strength, coordination and speed. All of his students have at least a fundamental understanding of music theory, including note names and durations, counting methods, intervals, basic chord theory, and rhythm reading. Hi! My name is Dan and I offer guitar lessons at all levels of instruction. I have been playing guitar for 15 years and have had 10 years+ experience of playing with bands and in the studio. I play almost every style that you can think of, although I specialize in fingerstyle with a thumbpick! This is my favorite style to play because of how fun it is! I have also learned several styles ranging from Stevie Ray Vaughan/Jimi Hendrix, to George Benson/Wes Montgomery, to Steve Vai/Eric Johnson.

-I attended Ohio State University's top tier Jazz School for 2 years. I also studied with a couple of the best teachers in the country.

-I have played on stage with Tommy Emmanuel, and Frank Vignola (Two of the best guitar players on the planet right now!).
Currently, I play for 2 AWESOME bands in Cleveland, work for School of Rock, and also teach several other students. I put 8+ hours a day into my craft. I am a full-time musician and I love it! Music is my life!
