I have been playing percussion for over 24 years.
Schooled in the performance art of symphonic percussion, marching/drum corp percussion & world percussion.
Also I have been performing live on stage and studio work on drum set for the past 17 years. Toured across the states recorded many c.d.'s and have even had songs on movie soundtracks.
The knowledge I have, about the many voices each percussion instrument has, benefits my students of the percussive arts.
It is very important that percussionist are everywhere loving the UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE of MUSIC.

About Me

Hello! My name is Cristina and I have been playing drums since I was a child. After graduating high school, I decided to continue to pursue music. For the past 4 years I have been studying Percussion and Drums, first at the University of Houston, and presently, and the University of Texas at San Antonio with plans to finish my Bachelor of Music degree. I specialize in drumset, and percussion instruments such as marimba, snare drum, vibraphone, etc. I also am able to teach marching band percussion and drumline instruments. Along with teaching, I am a gigging musician with great versatility and experience in many genres of music. Not only am I able to teach basic fundamentals of music such as technique, reading music, styles, etc., I can make learning to be a great musician a very enjoyable process!!

About Me

Beginning his affair with music at 5 years old, Jason has been through an amazingly wide range of musical experiences spanning from choirs as a young boy to drumming for the United States Army on a four year tour which included playing 300+ concerts every year in every style from Top 40, Rock, Pop, Jazz (Big Band and Small Combo), Orchestral Percussion (including mallet work), Marching Band to Show Drumming. His most vivid and early memory of playing music was as a baby, sitting on his Father’s lap while he played “Hello My Baby, Hello My Darling” over and over again. At the age of 5 he began by taking private piano lessons and continued for 12 years, picking up formal lessons on the drums and voice along the way.

Jason’s passion for music became very apparent as he was highly active in school music programs from grade school through high school, playing for concert bands, symphonic bands, jazz ensembles, show choirs and musicals in addition to successfully landing...

About Me

My name is Daryl and I love music! I am a professional saxophone player and teacher. I also teach drum set, percussion, and music theory. I have a background heavily set in the jazz and improvisational realms as well as classical, blues, and rock. I recently received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from City College of New York with an emphasis in jazz and improvisation. I have been playing professional gigs for the last 8 years (in Denver as well as New York City) and have been teaching for the last three years, which I have come to find great passion for!
My philosophy as a teacher is that every student is different and may require a unique approach. That is why I strive to really understand what direction the student wishes to go in, as well as their current skills. Also, to me, knowing the students’ likes and dislikes (not only in music but in life) is an important step to really connecting to them.

About Me

Teaching drums for over 13 years, Aaron has influenced hundreds of budding musicians to get the most from their instrument. He has studied privately with Rob Laytham (Modern Drummer columnist), Joe Leroux (marching guru), Gary Chaffe (legendary drummer) and many others throughout the years. He has taken the best techniques and teaching styles from his influences and molded them together to form what he considers to be the most effective and inspiring method available.

I teach drum set in nearly every style and hybrid imaginable, as well as percussion and drum circle facilitation.

Accomplishments include recording 7 albums with various groups, touring with national acts across the west coast, drumming for the Warner Brothers Television house band, and playing countless live shows (152 shows in 2007 alone).

Biography: Teaching Experience and Philosophy

Morgan began teaching piano 7 years ago and has
since then taught a number of students ranging from very young
beginners to adult beginners and intermediate students. Although she
regularly teaches in the classical tradition, Morgan is passionate
about finding what excites each student and is committed to connecting
each student with music that will inspire them, help them grow, and add
joy to their lives.

About Me

I teach guitar, drums and vocals to an array of students ranging from 10 to 60. Not only do I teach but I also write songs for certain students who have a desire to perform their own music as well as learning and honing their craft on their instrument. I am currently helping a vocal student of mine write some songs after scales and warmups and am working with one of my top guitar students tomorrow on different scale techniques. I am also working with more and more students on songwriting and showing them different chords and ways to go about writing a song. I am currently getting two of my students ready for talent shows and I am working on a drum video with one of my drum students (of course). I would love to get started with you as soon as possible and we will get you where you want to be musically. About Me

my first drum lesson was the best gift I ever received. I was so very fortunate because if not for these drum lessons as a beginner I would not be the professional performer and teacher that I am today. Taking one on one private lessons for five years prepared me for college and beyond. Even more so, taught me what it takes to be a great teacher.
I went on to earn a BM in Jazz studies at the University of North Florida. While majoring in the drum set I also studied piano and percussion. After graduating I’ve been able to work professionally in many settings and musical genres, including jazz, rock, pop, reggae, R & B, hip hop, gospel, blues, funk and soul, folk and blue grass, Latin, middle eastern, and other world music. About Me

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Management from the University of the Pacific. At Pacific, Aaron studied both jazz and classical music, and performed rock/gospel music on campus. He is currently completing work toward a Master of Arts degree in Worship Studies through Liberty University and serves as the Worship Arts Ministry Assistant at Sunrise Community Church in Fair Oaks, CA, where he directs instrumental music programs.

Aaron has been teaching private lessons since 2007, and has been teaching marching percussion at high schools since 2008. He has had students go on to earn college music scholarships, prepared students for acceptance into the Central Valley Youth Symphony, and instructed a winter percussion ensemble with a first place win at NCBA championships.
