I fell in love with teaching music while a student myself! I am an alumna of the University of Michigan, where I received Masters of Music and a Bachelors of Music degrees with honors. While there, I began teaching at my private vocal studio and studying vocal pedagogy. Since graduation, I have maintained a private studio in New York. I love what I do. I find it very fulfilling to give my students the tools that they need to succeed and watch them achieve their goals.

I have performed in both the US and internationally on a professional level. As a performer I am comfortable in a range of repertoire: Musical Theater, Jazz, Opera, Pop, Folk and other genres. As a teacher, I find that my own experiences in performing inform and help guide my teaching style.

As a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and New School University in New York City, I've performed in national tours and regional theatres in AZ, IN, OH, NY, NJ, TX, SC, and VA. Workshops and readings in NYC have given me different tools that are useful in today's quickly changing artistic world. My violin and I have also traveled the world with performances in France as well as touring the United States.

I have a background in classical, jazz and popular music. I have played flute for over 20 years in every context, from orchestra to marching band to CBGB. I have performed with vocal ensembles of every size and in every style.

I recently returned to the US after teaching music in Switzerland. I'm currently the assistant conductor of the Russian Chamber Chorus of NYC and a Choral Artist with the Metropolitan Opera Guild. I'm passionate about all kinds of music and my mission is to share my passion wherever I go!

In addition to private lessons, I have a number of years of experience teaching music in a classroom setting and I've worked with many kinds of people including students with special needs. While I'm comfortable with all ages, I work particularly well with young kids and have a lot of experience adapting my teaching to accommodate different learning styles. I also love working with adults and believe that it's never too late to try something new.

I grew up just south of Nashville, TN and have been singing for most of my life. I began as a boy soprano in the choirs at church, then youth choir, middle school choirs and shows. Then during high school, where I was really bit with the singing bug, I was in every musical I could audition for, and I sang in the select choir for all four years. Around age 16 I began taking voice lessons myself, which prepared me for college auditions. After high school I moved to Memphis, TN where I earned my bachelors degree in music and vocal performance from the University of...

I made my Broadway debut with the original cast of Disney & Cameron Mackintosh’s hit musical Mary Poppins and became Broadway's second Mary, flying over the heads and into the hearts of Broadway audiences for over 100 performances.  I left that production to join the original cast of the highly acclaimed Broadway revival of Ragtime.  

I continue to cross the country representing Walt Disney Productions in national concert appearances. I have also has appeared on The Today Show, The View, the 2007 Tony Awards Show, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I have sung for the annual Broadway on Broadway Concert in Times Square, Broadway Sings for Toys and the Fred Ebb Awards.   Recently, I was seen at The Maltz Jupiter Theatre as Hope in Anything Goes, and in the title role of the musical, Gypsy, in the premiere production of the new North Shore Music Theatre, as Mary Poppins in the  televised 2010 IKEA Thanksgiving Day Parade and the 2011 Walt Disney World Christmas...

Hello! I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music, with a Bachelor’s degree in Writing and Production. I am attending NYU as a graduate student at Steinhardt. I have been teaching privately for over eight years, and performing for over 20!

My first love is piano, as I began lessons at age 7. I wrote my first song at age 8 and started playing guitar the next year. I am an accomplished songwriter, arranger, producer, performer, teacher and director. I recently moved here from Boston where I was the Music Director at All Souls Church in Braintree, MA and performed jazz/blues, funk, and kid's music.
