Kevin has been a guitarist for more than 24 years. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Oklahoma City University earning a Bachelor of Music degree in
classical guitar. He went on to earn a Master of Music degree in
classical guitar performance from the University of North Texas.

Kevin
has been fortunate enough to have studied with some of the world's
foremost classical guitarists. In addition to instruction from Tom, professor of guitar at UNT, he has studied privately for a
number of years with Christopher McGuire, a pupil of Andres Segovia and
a very well respected member of the guitar community. With the help of
these mentors, Kevin was able to perform in master classes of numerous
world famous classical guitarists, including Manuel Barrueco, Carlos
Barbosa-Lima, Jason Vieaux and Pepe Romero.

I've been playing piano since I was 6 yrs. old, and guitar and organ since I was 13. I've been able to use music in so many ways, and that is the opportunity I want for my students. From singing in school and church choirs, to accompanying and directing them, I've had a lot of enjoyable experiences. I've had the fun of performing solo and with bands, and have been teaching music for about 25 yrs, both privately and in the schools. My BA is in music education and my Masters is in individual performance. I've taught K-Jr College music classes in general music, chorus, piano, guitar, and theory. I think my favorite form of teaching is still one-on-one lessons. Working with one student allows me to adjust my teaching to their particular learning style and needs.

I love playing violin. I've been studying since the age of 5. I was very involved throughout middle school and high school with an intense pre-college program at Indiana University. We had music theory, master classes, chamber music, performances, and multiple lessons a week. It was during this time that I really knew that I wanted to major in violin performance, and had realized that music was a vital part of my life! By being a part of that pre-college program, I was given opportunities such as traveling the world with our group and doing concert tours, and playing with different professional artists, and orchestras. I was also involved in a youth orchestra until I graduated highschool. I attended Indiana University majoring in Violin performance. I hold a Bachelors and a Masters degree. I have also had a little bit of training on the viola, and in music theory. I completed every pedagogy teaching class that was offered at IU and was fortunate to have a lot of experience...

I am a multi-instrumentalist currently finishing my Music BA in Voice at CU Boulder. I have played in several different ensembles in the Boulder area on a variety of instuments including Ukelele, Guitar, Bass, Piano, Voice and Drums. I grew up partly in Hawaii and have a love for island music, Reggae, African Highlife, Jazz and Funk. My classical training in combination with my experience as a song writer and band leader gives me a uniquely well-rounded teaching style. My goal is to inspire students to use music as a platform for learning important skills such as diligent practice, cognitive flexibilty, and creative expression.

I have always been a music lover. I participated in choirs of all kinds for my entire life, but I was inspired to be a music teacher by my high school choir teacher. After high school I went to Willamette University, a private college in Oregon to continue my music studies. During my time at Willamette I participated in choirs and private voice lessons in addition to my course work. I graduated in May 2011 and decided to move back to Colorado to pursue a Masters of Music Education and teaching licensure because I was still very passionate about teaching.

As I continue with my schooling, I am always learning more about teaching and the voice in addition to developing my own personal philosophy. I think that music should always be an enjoyable experience, and I endeavor to make the learning process and fun and as comfortable as possible for my students.

We learn by teaching. That is why I love to teach, because I love to learn. I have made many great connections while teaching music to people and one of the ways to do that is to work together on a common goal. I started teaching music because during my own studies I have discovered many quick learning strategies that make playing music fun. Many of these strategies I had to discover on my own. Now I want to share these ideas with you.

Scott is a multi-instrumentalist loop master whose music spans a wide range of sounds and genres. With an education in music performance and a reputation for having a good time this laid back musician is no amateur to the music scene. Scott has performed hundreds of shows and numerous festival appearances, including 10,000 Lakes Festival, Wakarusa, Harvest Fest, Solstice Shakedown, Dogstock, Bela Luna, Camp Euforia, etc. Great stage presence and crowd interaction are a couple of things this guitarist is known for.

Born in Boston mass I am a DU educated pianist comfortable in any Jazz, Rock, or Classical setting but find my first love is the bluesy rollicking piano reminiscent of Jerry Lee Lewis, Dr. John, or Ray Charles. You might have seen me around town in my Salsa group, Jazz trio, Funk band, Gospel choir, or as accompaniment to any of the extremely talented singers I have worked with. I'm also a composer and songwriter with a sardonic songwriting style compared to Mose Allison and Dave Frishberg.

I attended the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music and graduated with a B.M. in Jazz and Commercial Piano. Not only have I studied intensely with local fixture Eric Gunnison, but also with internationally touring artist Gerri Allen and even with jazz legend Billy Taylor at a summer music institute in Amherst, Mass. I won the Clarke Terry award for outstanding musicianship and was a recipient of the Cherrington Global Scholarship, a grant that allowed me to spend a year performing...

I have had a love of music from a very early age. At age 5, I started learning how to play piano and by middle school, I started playing the drums. I continued to play music throughout high school and college, and learned to perform percussion for just about every genre of music. All of this led to my Bachelors of Arts in Music Education with an emphasis in Percussion and Jazz Studies. As part of the requirements for this degree, I took many classes exploring all areas of music and teaching and found teaching to be a passion of mine. My musical experience includes teaching drum lessons to individuals and groups, organizing and instructing two drum lines for elementary school age children, being the lead drummer for a local band playing jazz, rock, funk and blues, and being the choir leader and drum player for my church. In the past, I was also the drum major for a local, national award winning drill team.

After seeing his first rock concert at age 14, Nick knew music had to be in his future. He picked up a friend’s guitar the next day for the first time, and after only three years applied for and received a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Nick has been performing in rock bands from high school and throughout college. He also has 4+ years of experience teaching students ranging from age 3 to 60+, and teaches guitar, vocals, and bass. Nick specializes in styles such as rock, blues, pop, classical, and flamenco.

Ben hails from a dairy farm in Pennsylvania. He grew up working hard, drawing and playing guitar. In his teens, he began playing shows in coffee shops playing cover songs. After high school, he moved out and travelled around Scotland, Canada and the Pacific Northwest, playing in bands, attending Columbia Academy in Vancouver, BC for audio engineering and teaching music in Portland, Oregon.
His mostly self-taught career has landed him many shows around The US and Canada and the opportunity to fly to remote areas to be recorded in many musical projects. What he has to offer you is how to be a comfortable on the guitar, how to become familiar with the guitar and, if you already are, how to take it to a performance level, how to write music that pushes you to the next level, how to record great sounding demos and how to get out in the public.
