Hello! I teach classical and music theater styles to all ages of beginning through advanced singers. I have special experience with guiding high school singers through the university music school audition process in particular. However, I have years of experience working with young children who love to sing, amateur choral singers looking to improve, serious classical vocalists, and music theater fanatics! Music and teaching music have been my passions for as long as I can remember! Throughout my career as a student, I have explored many musical paths and instruments. All these experiences contributed to making me the well-rounded and intelligent musician I am today.

My undergraduate degree is from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in Music education where I am certified to teach any music from students K-12. Currently, I am pursuing a masters degree in Vocal Performance and Opera from the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University where I study under Phyllis Bryn-Julson.

Although singing is my #1 passion, I encourage students to play instruments and explore other musical outlets. Musical instruments I've learned and performed with include: piano, french horn, mallet percussion, classical guitar, and saxophone. Music has so much to offer - take advantage of it now!

Soprano Belinda L. is quickly emerging as a sought-after performer both in opera and as a recitalist. Her performances have been described as “mesmerizing” and her crystal clear voice is full of a “beauty and sensitivity that makes her an immediate stand out.” Most recently, Belinda has appeared on the stage of Peabody Opera as Euridice in Gluck's Orfeo. Past roles include leads from Cosi fan tutte (2010), Die Zauberflöte (2010), Rigoletto (2010), Gilbert &Sullivan's Trial by Jury (2009), Lakme (2009), Le nozze di Figaro (2009), and Don Giovanni (2008). Equally in demand on the concert stage, Belinda has sung the soprano solos in Faure's Requiem and Handel's Messiah.

I love music and I love teaching! I started out with a passion for musical theater, and eventually I developed a love for opera and art songs. I love how singing requires both physical awareness and mental focus, and I will strive to teach the balance of these aspects. Whether you want to gear up for karaoke or learn how to sing an Italian aria, I can offer you advice and training to help you meet your goals.

I've had a great deal of experience reaching out to students of all ages. I taught undergraduates while finishing my masters degree in Chicago, and while performing outreach with the San Diego Opera and Anchorage Opera. Outside of music, I love competing in triathlons!

Lyric Baritone, Orlando S., holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from the Peabody Conservatory and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, respectively. Orlando serves as the Director of Music and Chancel Choir conductor at Hunt's Memorial United Methodist Church which was founded in 1773 during the advent of our nation’s history.

In addition to his work as a conductor, Orlando is also a highly-respected and sought studio teacher of voice and piano. He maintains an active voice and piano studio in the Baltimore area having successfully taught hundreds of students. Hi my name is Aleksis, know by thousands of students as "Mr B." I'm 33, happily married with a one year old daughter and five year old son. I have been teaching music for over twenty years now. I have been performing locally and nationally since 1992, solo and with a band, at hundreds of venues across the country as a singer/songwriter guitarist and keyboardist. I am currently recording my fourth full length album, with several albums selling on iTunes. I own my an independent record label, working as an audio and video producer at my home studio and on the road recording live shows as well as with my students in their homes that are working towards a professional music career like mine.

My style of teaching is very laid back and relaxed. I would like to take it at a pace in which the student is comfortable with the material before moving forward. Reinforcing the basics before moving onto more advanced material.

Born and raised in Wilmington, DE, Kelly started singing at a very early age in church choirs. At 12 she performed in her first children's opera with Opera Delaware and was hooked on performance immediately. She received her Bachelor of Music degree, cum laude, from the University of Delaware, going on to receive her Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music. Kelly specializes in opera and classical voice, but also has much experience in musical theater and jazz singing. Kelly is also an active performer and therefore can give first-hand accounts of what it takes to be a singer. She is currently an Apprentice Artist with Center City Opera in Philadelphia and will be seen on the main stage with Opera Delaware this spring.

With almost 20 years of music and theater related experience, and over 10 years as a vocal coach, I start each day fresh with a desire to pass on my passion for the arts.

I have acquired my Bachelor of Music Degree in Voice Performance from Mason Gross School of the Arts in 1997, and am currently working towards my Master of Secondary Education Degree with a proposed graduation date of May 2011.
