My name is Erik. I am a very energetic, friendly, understanding and passionate vocal coach who has worked with students and clientele in the United States, Norway, the United Kingdom, Japan and Italy. Possessing more than 12 years of vocal training and music industry experience, I've been able to take people's voices to amazing levels. I am a highly experienced professional musician, who has performed and shared the stage with national artists such as Derek Trucks, Maceo Parker, Mother's Finest, Arrested Development, G-Love and Special Sauce, Tone Loc, and Gregg Allman. I currently play with Deep Blue Sun and HEADLINER in the Atlanta area and Southeast region. My students receive fundamental knowledge, but more importantly, they have fun. I love music, and I love displaying that passion to my students.

I studied classical guitar and composition at Asbury College and later more in depth guitar studies rock, jazz, and classical at the Atlanta Institute of Music. I have been teaching steadily for the past ten years as well as spending my time with various other musical projects such as leading worship for my church, performing for various parties and weddings, and composing and recording music for a short film. I use my experience and broad understanding of music to inform the way that I teach, so that my students have a robust experience of all aspects of music.

When it comes to music, for me, self expression is most important. Music communicates more than words alone.

I've studied with the great musical families of New Orleans, where I was born and raised. I've also had the good fortune of crossing paths with many other greats outside of the city; Jordan family, Marsalis family, Batiste Family, Chatters family, Clyde Kerr Jr., Donald Byrd, Frank Mantooth, Bob Shepard, Curtis Fuller, Steven Dankner, Lorraine Alfaro, Moses Hogan, Raymond Miles, Veronica Dorsey, and many others.

As a child I began the study of piano at the age of 3. I studied classical traditionally and blues by ear. I began a formal study of Jazz in the 5th grade. At age 12, I began to perform professionally and still do presently. By age 15, I was directing at various churches and ensembles to accompany musical theater productions.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Music. I teach beginners in piano and guitar. Through a student centered approach, my goal is to teach the foundations of music. Those foundations include:

All of my method books are organized into units. it is my goal to help a student FINISH a book once the lessons have begun. This is an achievable goal with a lot patience, practice, and fun!

I have been playing bass and guitar since high school. In 2011, I graduated from the Atlanta Institute of Music bass program with honors. This also allowed me the opportunity to take lessons from bass legends, such as Bryan Beller, Anthony Wellington, and Adam Nitti. By being taught by some of the best in the field of bass guitar, I can now pass down that knowledge to further aspiring bassists. I also have a bachelors degree in English from the University of Georgia, which helps me teach songwriting with a focus on meaningful lyrics in addition to the instrumental approach.

Buzz is an independent producer, writer, arranger, & keyboardist with over 30 years in the music industry. He appears on more than 150 CDs (2 received platinum certification) as performer or producer.

During the 80s, Buzz toured the world with the legendary Curtis Mayfield as musical director and during that time became staff producer for Ichiban Records. In the 90s, Buzz focused on production & arranging, working with some of music’s finest such as Gerald Albright, Kirk Whalum, & Ben E King to name a few.

In 2000, Buzz created Amatones Music. He has composed music for CNN, Delta Airlines, The Discovery Channel, the Weather Channel as well as for film and TV. His orchestration skills provided him the opportunity to score 2 songs for jazz pianist Bob Thompson and the West VA Symphony Orchestra.

Sept of 05 Buzz released his debut CD “A Collection” on Blue Canoe Records. Music from that release can be found in both film and TV .

I'm a professional guitarist with a background in jazz, heavy metal, blues, classical, and bossa nova. In 2006 I graduated from the Berklee College of Music and since then I have become lead guitarist and keyboardist for an Atlanta based rock band. In May of 2009, after a year of being together, the band released its debut album, In Prison Till the End, to great critical acclaim.

I am a classically trained singer, who loves to teach the art of voice. I am experienced in the world of popular music, assisting several independent artist during recording sessions and vocal training for the past 7 years. My education comes from The Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts Pebblebrook high school. Also I spent time studying with Oral Moses of Kennesaw State University school of music.

Teaching Philosophy: In all my years as a musician, I have seen firsthand how musical training benefits the student. It is about so much more than just learning to play the notes along with your favorite song; it actually enriches lives by fostering creativity, confidence, discipline, & self-expression, and it enhances problem-solving and learning skills that students carry with them outside the practice room. It is with this in mind that I take such pride in teaching! I teach students of all ages and skill levels, and I tailor each lesson to the needs and interests of the student. I help the student to continually set new goals, then break them down into small, manageable steps that will help the student grow into the musician he/she wants to be!

Judy began her pro singing and piano career at 16 and continued touring and singing shows thruout her college training at Fla. State Univ., getting her BME degree. After that she sang with pop, rock, and gospel groups and has sung and played piano live and in the studio for more than 20 years as well as teaching during that time. She continues to write and sing as well as training Cori Yarckin, Sasha Aaron, (both have had their songs on MTV, and Cori just had a song on a Lifetime Channel TV movie, ) and Caitlin Eadie who at 15 years of age will open for the band "Heartland" in Nov. Another student at the ripe age of 8 just won a singing competition in the city of Orlando and performed at the Linda Chapin Theatre at the Orlando Convention Center.
