I'm a professional guitarist with a background in jazz, heavy metal, blues, classical, and bossa nova. In 2006 I graduated from the Berklee College of Music and am lead guitarist for the Atlanta band Leaving Babylon.

I first realized I wanted to be a drummer when I was listening to Rush with my older brother. We were already rocking out with a collection of shoeboxes out on the floor as a makeshift drum kit, and then the ultimate drumming song came on- Tom Sawyer!

I wanted to learn how to do what I heard Neil Peart doing. Fortunately, I had parents who were nice enough to buy me a drum kit (and nice enough to put up with the noise!). I first started on a cheap, beginners set, and then I eventually welcomed a nice 5-piece set of Pearl drums at the age of 11.

Since then I have been playing in various bands, both in school and in garages/basements. I have also done a lot of theater, which has given me the opportunity to network and find work as a popular musician/composer for local musicals around town.

I've studied with the great musical families of New Orleans, where I was born and raised. I've also had the good fortune of crossing paths with many other greats outside of the city; Jordan family, Marsalis family, Batiste Family, Chatters family, Clyde Kerr Jr., Donald Byrd, Frank Mantooth, Bob Shepard, Curtis Fuller, Steven Dankner, Lorraine Alfaro, Moses Hogan, Raymond Miles, Veronica Dorsey, and many others.

As a child I began the study of piano at the age of 3. I studied classical traditionally and blues by ear. I began a formal study of Jazz in the 5th grade. At age 12, I began to perform professionally and still do presently. By age 15, I was directing at various churches and ensembles to accompany musical theater productions.

Matthew has always been involved in music from a young age, and people have been trying to get him to be quiet since then! He was surrounded by music all through his high school years, including various Choral clinics, Honor Choirs as well as attending GMEA All- State Chorus for four years. Matthew was accepted to Young Harris College on scholarship for both music and theater. While attending Young Harris, Matthew was able to experience excellent training in both fields, playing principal roles in plays and musicals alike. Matthew was able to work as a student director honing his acting expertise while helping others reach their potential. Musically, Matthew was trained privately by musical maestros Dr. Christopher D. Hendley and Jeff Bauman, each allowing him to develop his own craft as an individual vocalist, as well as a classically trained choral performer. I am a Recording Artist who has worked on numerous projects including 2 of my own albums. I've been singing since 1986, graduated from Biola University, CA with a BACE degree (Education) then went on to Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA attending their vocal program and I graduated with vocational Honor.

I've been teaching since 1997, doing both private and group lessons.
I am very good with explaining and working with you to find your voice - how to use them correctly and comfortably.

Ali has had music in her life since she was in the crib. She has performed professionally in the musical theatre world and she has studied in several universities for Musical Theater, Jazz, Pop, Blues, and R&B. Since the age of sixteen, she has been selected to sing as a guest soloist for venues such as Spivey Hall, Georgia World Congress Center, and Georgia Tech Hotel Conference Center. Ali has also sung for many movies and recordings, and recently recorded a demo for David Foster, Barbra Streisand, and Andrea Bocelli and recently toured as a pianist for "The Women of Ireland." She is a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music and earned her BM in Music Business and Vocal Performance cum laude studying under Magi Scott, Jeff Ramsey, Jerome Kyles, and Carolyn Escoffrey, Donna McElroy, Livingston Taylor, Joan Lader, and Charlie Sorrento.
