About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Kristina and I have been a tutor for the past year and a half teaching middle and high school H Geometry, H Algebra 2 and H Physics. I just graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park in December of 2013 with a B.S. in Community Health. I have a passion not just for health, but for enlightening young minds- which has proven to be very rewarding to the students I tutor and their parents! My tutoring methods include listening to what each student is struggling with, then motivating them by focusing on their strengths and helping them use them to their advantage. I teach concepts that they do not fully understand so that they can comprehend the subject matter and feel confident to complete homework, tests and quizzes on their own. I brainstorm creative ways to remember equations and how to apply them to appropriate problems. I have had great experiences in the past doing individual tutoring, and I look forward to more!
