Senior Music Education Major with 2+ years of teaching experience and a member of the Cincinnati Metropolitan Orchestra. A violinist and vocalist with 11+ years of experience, and 2+ years of viola and piano experience. I have been playing piano in a worship setting for the past 3 years and in a classical setting for the past 2 years. My students will therefore gain a knowledge of how to read sheet music and chord charts in order to become a well-rounded pianist.
I believe that music is an experience that is felt and understood differently among each person and because of this, all lessons are customized according to the interests, needs, and goals of each student. My students will develop a solid foundation of music theory, aural skills, and sight-reading that will prove to be extremely beneficial in their musical studies. My greatest desire is to help all of my students to achieve their greatest musical potential and to grow in their appreciation of the beauty of music.

I began playing the piano when I was 3 years old in Japan. I have the Yamaha certification of piano instructor, which I passed the exam when I was 16. I played in many music festivals held in the city as the pianist and competed in many youth competitions.
I was diagnosed with tendinitis when I was 15 and I was unable to play competitively after that. However, I still enjoy playing the piano and love teaching the joy of being able to play the piano to let the heart out. It’s relaxing and exhilarating at the same time.
In addition, practicing the piano is great for brain development especially for younger children. However, it doesn’t matter if you are young or old, playing the piano is great for brain health and mental health as well. I look forward to working with kids, adults or seniors!
