I've been teaching voice since 2012, and I've studied voice for over 10 years. I have primarily been trained in the Italian school of singing, which emphasizes healthy, individualized singing voices over attaining a specific "sound." My goal is to help you sing the best way that you can, not to turn you into a copy of any one singer! Breathing, posture, diction, expression, and technique are all elements of singing we will work on together.
About Tia
Tia graduated from Dordt College in 2014 with a BA in Music Performance and Pedagogy. An avid vocalist and single-reed woodwind player, she has been studying music for over 15 years with a variety of teachers, and has experience in the Jazz, Musical Theatre, Praise, and Classical styles. Tia has

I am an experienced musician and performer with a variety of teaching skills gained over 20 years of study and action. Lessons in my studio are about so much more than just learning to sing a song or write music. Students are instilled with business knowledge, work ethic, and confidence so that they can truly accomplish whatever they set their minds to. We go deep and focus on how to develop new mental and physical habits that can help the student better express his/herself. We work hard on a curriculum that is specifically catered to the student's needs, and of course, is fun too!
I've worked with students from ages 6-65, with varying backgrounds and interests. From complete beginners to professional performing artists. All students are guaranteed to see improvement in their technical skills within the first month of lessons. Let's do this!
About Jameson
Jameson is a recording artist, songwriter and producer. He is a graduate from the University of Oregon, and holds a BA in Theater Arts, Music and Business. As a vocalist, Jameson sings regularly in a wide variety of styles. He has studied the Alexander Method, Body Mapping, Singing by Speaki

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

Ms. Rachel was an amazing vocal teacher! We would always start off with simple and fun warm-ups, breathing techniques, and would practice singing songs from musicals. My first couple lessons she taught me how to sing I Feel Pretty from West Side Story and we both had so much fun with it! After a little while we learned Cups from Pitch Perfect and then we got into the Vaccai book and I learned a couple songs from there. Overall Ms. Rachel was the best! She even offered to Skype a lesson with me since she moved. She cared about me and always helped me improve my voice in every way she could. I love her!"

Barbee is both fun and professional! She creates a comfortable learning environment, and continuously pushes for the best results. She's always positive and wants to help me achieve my goals (and more)!"

Before I started my lessons with Christiaan I would blow my voice out during extended singing sessions and knew I needed to find a vocal coach with the expertise to help me to prevent permanent damage. He quickly identified my strengths and weaknesses and gave me many tools and techniques I never even thought I'd be capable of.
Christiaan has an amazing teaching style and always brings positive energy to each lesson. He knows how to offer constructive criticism in a gentle way that makes you excited to want to do better.
I'm much more motivated and confident as a singer-songwriter as a result of these lessons and I can't thank him enough for bringing that element to my life."

I learned more in 30 minutes with a vocal lesson than I've learned in years of destructive music and voice lessons from teachers all over the US. She's got a fantastic ear and is able to pinpoint problems so quickly. She's also no-nonsense, but is also very encouraging and inspiring. She's very talented at getting the best out of new people and seasoned performers alike. Highest recommendation. After her lessons, I had a huge gig at the Orange County Fair with Roger Daltry headlining! He teaching gave me confidence and I sounded the best yet, singing live. I look forward to learning more from her. Penelope J."

Juliet is an awesome teacher, I am taking singing lessons and have only had a few, but already notice a huge difference. The sessions are very relaxed and comfortable. Which was kind of important to me because I've never sang in front of anybody in my life and am shy.
I would recommend Juliet to anybody seeking professional instruction."

How bad is "vocal fry," anyway? As a singer, should you be concerned about this new vocal trend, heard in artists such as Britney Spears? In this guest post by Ann Arbor, MI voice teacher Elaina R., listen to a vocal fry example and learn the truth behind the fuss... I was recently listening to This American Life (a popular radio show and podcast), and the hosts started talking about vocal fry. As a voice professional, I immediately started paying rapt attention.
