I graduated from Texas A&M in 2003 with a Bachelor degree in Theater Arts and English.  I was involved in many theatrical productions backstage and onstage such as Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Talking With, Biloxi Blues and Oleanna.  In 2007, I began my teaching career, which led me to gain so much experience working with kids.  I am Texas state certified in English, Language Arts and Reading and English as a Second Language Supplemental.  I taught Language Arts and Reading to students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade for 14 years.  I have experience working with children who struggle academically, are English Language Learners, and who have special needs.  Teaching is truly my passion and I love being able to help kids who don't feel as confident in their learning as they should.  I feel that creating an environment where students feel safe, nurtured, and supported is crucial and paramount to their success.  Current circumstances in the world have led me to embark on brand new adventures, and teaching on online platforms, such as this one, is one of them.  I look forward to hearing from you very soon.

In this course, young performers will get an opportunity to practice their craft by participating in script reading from age appropriate films and plays such as Encanto, Coco and much more!!!
