Hello I like to make learning an instrument fun and easy to fit into your schedule! If you're an adult finally getting around to learning your dream instrument or a child following your passion of playing music I tailor your lessons specifically to you. I have lots of music theory training/background, and I enjoy sharing that knowledge as well.

While studying the mandolin, you'll learn how to read music in standard notation, tablature form or both. You will also learn how to play various chords, scales rhythmic patterns and improvisation while implementing them into various styles of music including, Bluegrass, Country, Basso Nova. or Blues.

I have over 20 years of profession touring and studio experience playing with some of the biggest names in the business that I bring to my lessons. I studied music in school and have continued to teach over the years which gives me the ability to use teaching and music school language with real world live performance experience. If you want to learn to play the way the pros do and have a lot of fun in the process, then this might be for you. My approach involves learning songs that you want to learn and teaching you techniques and theory in the process. Music is fun and should also be when taking lessons. Let’s get started!

I teach and approach the mandolin in traditional bluegrass country style of Bill Monroe. I can teach students to play by ear and how to play mandolin in a non traditional setting with drums electric guitar etc.
