Do you want to children to learn the foundations of acting from a NYC actor who has auditioned for and booked roles on major TV shows such as BLUE BLOODS, LAW & ORDER:SVU and ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK?
My name is Martino Caputo and I am the owner of GENERATIONAL TALENTS. I have been studying acting and and performing professionally for the past 15 years. Since then the entertainment business has gone through many changes, but the foundations of great acting remain the same.
Allow me to teach your child how to be a great actor or actress, not how to become a celebrity.

As a parent I want to be able to give other parents advice on how to start out in this business. I want to help you spot and avoid the scams (There are so many out there it is sad), ...

For many years I sang in my school Chamber Choir and took voice lessons. The choir performed regularly in pubic and in statewide competitions. I also have years of experience teaching the basics of singing in a low pressure way.
Topics we learn about include breathing and breath control, pitch and intervals, keys and scales and singing harmony. I can accompany a student while they sing, and hopefully teach them the basics of accompanying themselves.

What's special about film & screen acting, is that it's up to the ACTOR to realize the world he/she 's in, the relationships, and what ACTION he/she is taking toward moving the story forward. Theater is collaborative, performance-wise. It's warm and fuzzy. You may never get that luxury on a TV set.
'Acting for Screen' cultivates your craft, by personal coaching with audition tools.
The challenge in SCREEN ACTING is that you must create worlds amongst extreme odds, such as using camera contraptions, special fx, cameras in your face, dolleys swirling around you, and sometimes, quite literally while standing on one foot.
Listening. Objectives. Relaxation. Specificity. THE AUDITION to book the role. These are tools every actor must wield in this exciting but changing market.

The magic of the movies lies in the teams that make them possible. All kinds of influences converge to create a piece of music, and in film one of the most important is the relationship between the director and the composer. This relationship is what inspired Justin Hurwitz to create 1900 piano demos for La La Land. It's what sparked the idea behind John Williams' Iconic theme for Star Wars. We will delve deeper into character and story, and learn ways to compose music that truly enhances the picture. We will study how to create music with an arc, and that tells its own story. We will also hone technical skills in orchestration and in the latest software. We will learn about thematic development and constructing leitmotifs by studying scores such as The Godfather and The Lord of the Rings.

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.
We learned a wedding dance from Kelly and coming from a guy with two left feet, she did an awesome job guiding us through and teaching us cool choreography to make us look good! Kelly is extremely professional and takes her time understanding what you want to accomplish and teaches at a great pace where you learn while continuing to move forward. Each lesson progressed very nicely while we learned in her home studio. It was a very comfortable space and we nailed down exactly what we were aiming to do. We learned three types of dance: ballroom, tap, and a swing/bollywood hybrid. Kelly guided us through each and made sure we were comfortable and happy in the end. She even cut the three songs together for us! I would highly recommend Kelly as she has a warm heart, great attitude, and is a wonderful teacher!"
As with any profession, actors have tools. Just as a doctor needs a stethoscope or a fireman needs a hose, there are certain items an actor must keep in their toolbox. I usually start classes or lessons by asking my new students or clients what they think these tools might be. Sometimes, the answer is very literal ("Script!"), and other times abstract ("Passion!"). None of these is a wrong answer. Being an actor or artist is subjective and everyone's process is different and valid. But t …
