Dave is a very patient teacher. You can tell he is passionate about music and the trumpet from the way he interacts during a lesson. I look forward to every week when I take my lessons, and it has been such a fun hobby during these crazy times because of Covid-19.

Mary Elizabeth has been great! Im an adult and this is my first time taking voice lessons. I was very nervous in the beginning, but Mary Elizabeth is fun and positive and made me feel very relaxed! She’s very knowledgable and I already feel as if I’m improved a lot from just a few lessons.

Mary Elizabeth is absolutely wonderful! My daughter who has been taking lessons with her since the begin of the summer says that she is extremely fun, kind, patient and organized, always bringing new beautiful songs to learn that she loves. I am so happy and very excited about this singing journey for her with Mary Elizabeth.
Leslie
My teen daughter was taking in-person voice lessons locally (Seattle) before the pandemic. Once everything moved to on-line, we realized the door was open to find an on-line teacher who lived anywhere! We were so happy to find Mary Elizabeth who has musical theater experience and has been on the stage in NYC! My daughter has a passion for musical theater and she needed a voice teacher who understands the challenges of learning to sing well while also belting out the notes. Mary Elizabeth has a very warm, positive and supportive style that has really has helped my daughter not only learn, but also give her more confidence. We highly recommend Mary Elizabeth! You will not be disappointed!

My teaching style really depends on who the student is. I am always happy to work together towards what the student wants to be able to play while supporting that with helpful and relevant exercise.
I am able to teach theory, technique, reading music, improvisation, playing scales and stuff like that but I am also happy helping people learn specific songs they want to play and working on groove, time and sound.

About Noga

Noga Shefi is an accomplished musician, bass and guitar player based in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Israel, Noga first came to the US to study bass guitar at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. Graduating with honors in 2012, she came to New York and promptly got the work playing

Noga is a kind, patient, sensitive teacher with a deep understanding of musical theory and technique and a warm, encouraging and professional sensibility. Not just a great teacher but also a punctual, communicative scheduler. She's just wonderful to deal wit. 10 out of 10 would recommend!
David C
Noga is a great teacher!!! Always prepared and really knowledgeable. Totally recommended!
Nick C
Noga is all-around the best musical instructor I have ever had. What makes her lessons special is her passion for teaching and for music. She motivated me to challenge myself on the bass both through her creative exercises and supportive charisma. On top of that, Noga is a true master of the bass guitar. She has an immediately recognizable groove that you can hear whenever she plays, and her skill is incredibly wide-ranging. Our lessons have touched on driving rock, jazz walking bass, and ambient soundscapes to name a few, and she is very open to delve into new musical territory together if you have any questions on how to achieve a certain sound. Every lesson with her will have a great impact on your playing.

Hi! I am an experienced voice/piano teacher in the Louisville, KY area. I am a Music Major at Western Kentucky University where I study piano and voice. While taking lessons with me, you’ll find that each lesson is tailored to fit each individual student. I do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach. Each lesson is designed to incorporate music theory, technique and performance etiquette.

At the end of each semester, students will have the opportunity to perform in a recital for their family and friends! While this is not required, it is a great way to show off all the progress they have made. You’ll find that my rates are very affordable compared to some teachers. This is because I want to make the lessons affordable for all! I am always available to answer any questions the student has regarding any of the topics we work on. Please message me if you have any questions!

I have 10 years of teaching experience and teach beginning to intermediate violin lessons. Violin was the first instrument I learned to play and I especially enjoy working with beginning string players. Developing a good ear for pitches and proper playing technique are extremely important for string players and I focus on these areas foremost. Each lesson is customized for the student’s age, interest, and technical level.

About Linnea

I am a freelance oboist, reed maker, and music teacher in the Seattle area. My teaching studio is currently based in Everett. I have eight years of teaching experience and love working with students of all ages. My primary instrument is oboe, but I also have a passion for teaching beginning viol

My 7 yr old enjoys and looks forward to her piano lessons with Sabrina. Sabrina is very kind, professional and encouraging. "If I had to pick all over again, I would still choose Michelle! I can't think of anything she could do to improve. She is smart, funny, bubbly, positive, and very flexible with schedules. She could teach any age and any range of ability without making the student feel humiliated. In fact, she is very good at building confidence and you can tell she ENJOYS teaching and singing. She is also very caring. I originally purchased the lessons for my daughter (20) who is interested in theater, but just for fun (and as a Christmas present), we did the first few lessons together. I am in charge of our church youth band, so I continued my lessons as I discovered there really is so much to learn. I have never been able to reach high notes, so I've learned how to breathe and even get well past my normal B-flat high note. I never knew there were so many places for sound to reverberate, so I guess you could say I am finding my voice. I am a reading specialist, so I recognize quality instruction. My daughter and I love her so much that my 22-year old son wanted to take lessons as well. He is a piano performance major at UNT and appreciates good teachers who are also good musicians. We all three highly recommend her. I would give her more stars if I could! The Take Lessons website is also very well organized and I haven't had a bit of trouble with it, despite the fact that I've had to rearrange my lessons quite often. Thanks for everything, Michelle!"
