Always patient....always accessible...always flexible if I need to change
I definitely recommend him."
Michael is amazing! It is my first time doing a Skype lesson on Take Lessons, and it exceeded all expectations.
As far as logistics goes, not counting the times when Skype skipped a few seconds of speech, working with Michael has been seamless. He is very professional yet very down to earth. He is very flexible with the times of the lessons and is easy to get in contact with if there is an issue with the schedule. I recommend a Skype lesson to anyone not only because of the convenience, but also the range of expertise you can get. Michael lives in Brooklyn - and there is no way I could have worked with him living in San Diego before this! Thus, the teaching environment is a 4/5 simply because of errors of technology not by fault of the teacher."
And they're not alone!

In addition to singing I also teach beginning to intermediate piano lessons. I have been playing the piano for many years. In fact it was my first instrument! I find that the piano is a wonderful way for students of all ages to really understand music as a language while learning an instrument simultaneously. I have a wonderful method and book that I use which I have found to be incredibly effective. I also teach and work with my students on their aural skills, pitch development and recall, music theory, and diction.

You may feel that learning the violin is all about playing the right notes at the right time. It is to an extent. But in order to learn the various techniques and play for longer periods of time, there are other skills that every student needs to master too, and that includes proper violin posture.
