I love guitar! You will learn to strum and sing, fingerpick, write songs, play your favorite songs, solo, and improvise. As you progress you'll learn songs by your favorite artists and maybe you'll enjoy some of my favorite guitarists.

About Matthew

Hi, I'm Matt and I teach guitar for all ages and abilities. I know what it's like, trying to learn on your own with Youtube videos and online lessons, and it can be not only tough, but boring. My goal is to make music lessons as fun and engaging as possible while designing each lesson specifically

Matt was the first guitar instructor I've had that has actually taught me enough to perform! I came into his instruction learning only a couple songs by heart, and in a few months I was able to pick up on common chord progressions in popular songs and learn them so quickly. My goal was to be able to play open mic nights at my local college bar, and Matt showed me the tricks to sing and play guitar at the same time. His studio is so welcoming, lots of natural light, and easy to play a guitar in. It was nice that his wife was around sometimes during the class (made me feel more comfortable). Awesome teacher!

Matt is such a great teacher! I went into guitar lessons just hoping to be able to learn to play a few songs, but I've been taking lessons for months now. His studio is super cool and it's fun to jam out and learn songs, plus Matt is helping me work on my own songwriting.

I am a guitarist, bassist, composer, and a bandleader. I have been very fortunate to share the stage and record with some of the world’s greatest musicians and performers, both as an accompanist and a bandleader in a variety of styles. I also have nearly thirty years of experience in teaching ensembles and individual private lessons. I have taught all age groups and levels.

My goal is to create the most enjoyable lesson environment for students by teaching them fundamentals through the music they love.

Avi is simply the best teacher that I have ever had! I had trouble with tackling jazz improvisation for a long time and needed someone who can explain to me the whole A to Z of it while being able to demonstrate it on the guitar. It is very rare to find a great teacher that is also a great player. My search is over!

Beginning guitar is all about finding the motivation to get the student through the first stages. You'll have fun while learning good habits and getting your fingers to the point where they can play what you want.

The best guitar lessons are multi-faceted from the beginning. You start playing songs right away, all the while learning other things about music, good habits, simple songs, and helpful hints.

No experience is necessary to start picking up simple techniques that get you musical as soon as possible. Even at the very beginning, when we're learning simple scales and chords, every effort is made to help exercises not merely produce the tones required, but in a musical, emotionally-connecting way.
Music is the language of emotion, and you can learn that language.

We focus on:

Personal service,

Keeping the student interested and having fun while learning,

Working at the pace of the individual students,

Keeping the student's goals in mind,

Helping the student break ...

I needed last minute coaching for an upcoming audition and was feeling unprepared and frazzled. Chelsea easily knew what I needed. She made recommendations, was wonderfully engaging, and her insight and ear highlighted some important tweaks that I would have overlooked in my haste to prepare. After just one session I felt clearer, calmer, and considerably more confident. Bonus: Chelsea is incredibly kind, fun to work with and makes you feel you already know one another. Chelsea has my highest recommendation

"I have been working with Fawn for four years now and have gained so much. We first worked on improving my overall technique then tackled whatever needed the most work first. Our lessons are filled with hard work, laughter and fostering a deeper connection to the music, and to myself as Fawn has taught me to navigate and "be my own boss". I have never been so in touch with my voice and entire being. I highly recommend Fawn if you want to bring your singing, performing and career to the next level!"

"I am a long time student having first started guitar lessons in my late thirties. Thanks to Paul’s patience and expertise, I quickly evolved as a guitar player and all around musician. He has a great studio with a full variety of instruments so it's very convenient to not have to bring one's own instrument if one prefers not to. The studio also has a quality recording system , and I've created numerous professional sounding recordings of my guitar playing as well. Today I enjoy playing bass and guitar in a string band and continue to expand my musical horizons with Paul. I think he is an excellent instructor and I highly recommend him for beginners or intermediate musicians of all ages."

What Are Some Singing Software Options, and Can They Help Me?

The human voice is the most expressive “instrument” in the orchestra of sound that is music. Nothing can express or invoke the emotions of the listener like a beautiful voice! Of course, developing your vocal ability takes time and practice. It’s important to understand and develop proper breathing technique, pitch recognition, and range. The traditional method of learning to sing is to study with a qualified vocal teacher. A good teacher understands their students' strengths and weakness …
