We are a husband and wife piano teaching team that enjoy seeing children grow as they expand their musical skill set. We are firm believers of learning the fundamentals. We teach all ages and levels, and want our students to be having fun!
And if your piano needs a tuning, we do that too!
It is great getting a student to think and analyze the task at hand. It might seem too hard at first, but I will walk the student through the process of figuring out how to play a piece. Learning music gives you a lot of skills applicable to everyday life.
I am a professional pianist who primarily performs but also loves to share the gift of music through teaching. My specialty is jazz but I play most other genres and am a firm believer of learning the fundamentals. Iteach all ages and levels, and want my students to be having fun! And if your pia

I have 12 years of experience playing the piano. My focus is primarily classical and sacred music. I have been teaching piano since 2016 and have loved every minute of it. I have also played for many special events (weddings/funerals/church worship team). My music instructor studied under interns of Juilliard School and Curtis Institute. From energetic kindergarteners with a list of favorite songs to learn to school-age students with an interest in the arts, my music students have found the piano to be a great creative outlet.
In my free time, I enjoy playing in my family's music band and learning new creative skills, such as sewing, crocheting, trying new recipes in the kitchen (including gourmet cookies), and am currently studying horticulture.

I am now on my second year of graduate studies at Shenandoah University for Music Performance with a concentration in voice. Before going to graduate school I took a year off and taught privately at a music school. Within a few weeks my students improved a few of them even performed in a recital. One student also performed in a local children's production of Legally Blonde. Students who study with me will learn the basics and proper technique to sing, will sing appropriate repertoire and I will prepare the student if he or she would like to make a career in singing.
I received my Master's degree in Music Performance in May 2018 from Shenandoah University under the direction of Natalie Conte (voice teacher) and Robert Thieme (vocal coach). My Bachelor's in Music was obtained at Marywood University under the direction of Dr. Rick Hoffenberg (vocal coach) and E

Hello! I began studying piano when I was 4 through the Suzuki method and started teaching when I moved to San Francisco to start school. I am dedicated to the Suzuki method and believe in it; in case you're unfamiliar with the Suzuki method, it's a way of approaching music that focuses on fundamentals, developing the ear, and learning through emulation rather than solely on reading and theory. As someone who was taught by a more traditional teacher who was a strict adherent to the Suzuki method timeline, I have found myself to be much more flexible teacher who really wants to structure the lessons around the student to maximize an enjoyable relationship with the piano and music. For adults, of course, we start looking at reading pretty much from the beginning whereas for children, we steer clear of reading for a bit. I have a dog and two cats who are super friendly and who love to sit and listen to the piano lessons (I have had a few students who are scared) - just FYI! Looking ...

Brent has the ability to incorporate his musical training and knowledge in an easy-going yet structured manner, which has been very relatable to my son. Always mindful, Brent would express interest in what my son enjoys listening to, and/or would like to play on the drums, and integrate that with exposure to other genres, necessary musical theory, musicianship and technical skills. He would also provide valuable tidbits throughout the lesson and has pointed us to numerous helpful resources to aid in my son’s skill advancement. My son enjoys every lesson and actually practices without check-ins from Mom - no small feat for a 14-year old boy! (We have had the opportunity to see Brent play live a few times, which has been tremendously inspirational to my son.)
Brent is a great communicator and a wonderful resource when we have technical questions. He also lets us know in advance when a lesson may need to be rescheduled.
We feel very fortunate to have Brent as a teacher, as not only is my son learning about music, there are life lessons incorporated as well.
Thank you Brent!"
The lessons are challenging and fun and I'm inspired to practice on my own.
Ahmad's talent and experience as a guitarist, guitar teacher and performer come through in small things such as making sure your metronome is loud enough and with more important items like performance preparation strategies such as playing in front of a neighbor or co-worker.
I only wish I had started lessons sooner!"
