The lessons are all about the student !! I have 20 years of playing experience. I have learned that when the student has fun it makes playing a lot easier. So my lessons are customized based on what the students goals are. They are also designed to keep the students interested snd smiling even through the tough parts. I encourage practicing but I teach that just a little bit each day (15min) goes a long way!! I look forward to meeting you soon!

Many people think that you first learn a ton of music theory, than start to play and write music following the rules you learned. But instead, great composers wrote music that sounded good and students formulated rules as to what the greats came up with. It is the chicken and the egg! Let's take the genre of music you want to learn and break it down, analyze it and you will be able to understand it, talk about it, and write to your own music, as well.

About Sean

I am a professional pianist who primarily performs but also loves to share the gift of music through teaching. My specialty is jazz but I play most other genres and am a firm believer of learning the fundamentals. Iteach all ages and levels, and want my students to be having fun! And if your pia

Sean is a great teacher. It has been my experience with 2 previous “teachers” that were very accomplished trumpet players, but failed to articulate their message to help me improve.

This is a high-quality studio. I strive to help students achieve goals small and large. I believe establishing proper technique and efficient practicing habits early and quickly opens doors.

My goals are:
-Provide a comfortable, encouraging atmosphere that inspires growth in and outside of music.
-Inspire a life-long love of music.
-Provide optional performance and competition opportunities in the community.
-Develop a work ethic that crosses over to other areas in life.
-Most importantly, we have fun at this studio.

About Grace

Hello, I am Evan W.! Growing up in a musical family, music surrounded me. I remember going around trying to figure out what ever I could get my hands on. As someone who grew up surrounded by music, having a chance to take music there was like taking a factory tour of a product that you liked. I finally got to figure out why I liked what I liked, and how to make new combinations of these elements to create music of my own (composition). This is probably why I am passionate about Music Theory. I hope you will learn to enjoy theory as much as I do. I have scored very high score in Music Theory and have passed the College Board Music Theory Examination with one of the highest scores ( 5|4). I am looking forward to having a lesson with you!

Just wanted to update my review as I've continued working with Kay. She's wonderful! I've been super impressed with her ability to teach to adult beginners. She is very knowledgeable and I have a lot of trust in how she safely guides me through lessons. Additionally, she is excellent at communicating and teaching the nuances of each move and combination. I'm learning so much and having a blast. I would absolutely recommend Kay to my friends and family!

Kay made me feel very comfortable and I really enjoyed my first class. She's a great instructor; I'm really looking forward to my future lessons.

My 7 year old boy did online hip hop lessons with Miss Kay, she was WONDERFUL! She was kind and encouraging and my son grew in confidence and his love of dance from her encouragement and instruction. He looked forward to these classes all week, he screamed, "that was soo much fun!" frequently when we signed off. She even educated him on the four styles of hip hop and now he is eager to learn a little bit of each of them. Couldn't recommend Kay more highly. Such an all around kind and genuine person and positive influence in my son's life each week. Grateful for her.

"William has been exceptional as a teacher for my daughter. My daughter started lessons at age 9 with a smaller guitar recommended by William and as she grew, he made recommendations on both electric and acoustic guitars.
His understanding her goals with music and personalizing a plan to help her attain those goals makes William invaluable.
Many programs are geared for teaching the student to play a song quickly which leads to boredom; the building blocks that William has set up provides the student with skills that will keep her engaged in this choice.
if you are a parent and you want the best for your child, choose a teacher that has credibility, and the student's best interest in mind."

And he also makes sure you know the fundamentals every drummer should know. He even checks with me during the week to see how I’m doing and gives me excercises that help me improve. I’d definitely recommend him"

"I have been taking lessons with Jimmy for about 3 years now and couldn't be happier. I remember being amazed at how quickly I progressed early on, which instantly got me hooked. He focuses hard on your guitar foundation as well a your music theory foundation, not just on how to play a few songs. Since Jimmy has his own studio, you have the capability to record your own songs as much as you would like. The studio also provides a new way of learning that no where else offers by going through your own recordings step by step to pinpoint problem areas. I look forward to going to Jimmy's every week. He is a funny, kind and easy to talk to guy with a passion for what he does.
