The lessons are all about the student !! I have 20 years of playing experience. I have learned that when the student has fun it makes playing a lot easier. So my lessons are customized based on what the students goals are. They are also designed to keep the students interested snd smiling even through the tough parts. I encourage practicing but I teach that just a little bit each day (15min) goes a long way!! I look forward to meeting you soon!

Many people think that you first learn a ton of music theory, than start to play and write music following the rules you learned. But instead, great composers wrote music that sounded good and students formulated rules as to what the greats came up with. It is the chicken and the egg! Let's take the genre of music you want to learn and break it down, analyze it and you will be able to understand it, talk about it, and write to your own music, as well.
I am a professional pianist who primarily performs but also loves to share the gift of music through teaching. My specialty is jazz but I play most other genres and am a firm believer of learning the fundamentals. Iteach all ages and levels, and want my students to be having fun! And if your pia

This is a high-quality studio. I strive to help students achieve goals small and large. I believe establishing proper technique and efficient practicing habits early and quickly opens doors.
My goals are:
-Provide a comfortable, encouraging atmosphere that inspires growth in and outside of music.
-Inspire a life-long love of music.
-Provide optional performance and competition opportunities in the community.
-Develop a work ethic that crosses over to other areas in life.
-Most importantly, we have fun at this studio.

Hello, I am Evan W.! Growing up in a musical family, music surrounded me. I remember going around trying to figure out what ever I could get my hands on. As someone who grew up surrounded by music, having a chance to take music there was like taking a factory tour of a product that you liked. I finally got to figure out why I liked what I liked, and how to make new combinations of these elements to create music of my own (composition). This is probably why I am passionate about Music Theory. I hope you will learn to enjoy theory as much as I do. I have scored very high score in Music Theory and have passed the College Board Music Theory Examination with one of the highest scores ( 5|4). I am looking forward to having a lesson with you!

His understanding her goals with music and personalizing a plan to help her attain those goals makes William invaluable.
