About Kevin

I have had a fairly diverse musical background, including playing with bands and orchestras, as well as participating in choral groups and opera. I have a master's degree in music performance for wind conducting, and a bachelor's degree in music with an emphasis on piano performance.

I have taught private lessons for several years now and I love every moment with my students! I have a real passion for sharing my knowledge and experience with others, both failures and successes. I believe everyone has creative potential, and I believe music is a real universal art form that anyone can tap into if they want. Above all, making and creating music should also be fun!

*** Lesson Details ***
I try to keep my lessons professional but comfortable too. I don't yell at students for messing up or anything like that. I usually have an agenda b

ut am willing to adjust and compromise if the situation dictates. If you don't have a curriculum in mind, I like Alfred's piano courses, but will do my best to find one that fits you as a student best. My initial goals are to make sure the basics of reading music and performing are set so that no matter what musical avenue you want to pursue, you will be successful. I do specialize in classical music but enjoy creating and playing in other genres as well.

I now also offer lessons online, as well as tutoring in most math areas!

***CANCELLATION POLICY***
I kindly ask for 24 hour notice whenever possible if a lesson is going to be missed. Generally speaking, if I don't hear from a student and their lesson time passes I will mark the lesson as missed, but I am also usually more than willing to make up the lesson at a later time.

*** Studio Equipment ***
I have a piano keyboard at my home.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I would expect students to have their own instruments as needed, as well as music paper, pencils, etc. I may be able to provide some of those materials on occasion as well as some books/recordings, but will by and large expect students to purchase those for themselves.

*** Specialties ***
I am much more familiar with classical styles and Broadway. My music writing style tends to be somewhere between neo-classical and avant-garde.

I waited after a few lessons to give feedback. Very pleased. Kevin is full of knowledge -both relevant to music and other random fun facts! He is patient and will move at whatever pace you prefer. I look forward to continuing to improve my skills under his direction.

Vena is a consummate professional. My son wanted to learn some basic sewing skills, as well as learn how to make clothes and accessories. In the first 1.5 hour lesson at our home, he completed a simple zipper bag. Over the course of six lessons he made a messenger bag, dress shirt and started on pants - which he finished while we were on vacation. Vena is an expert and also knows how to tailor her lessons to her individual students work style, needs and goals. I give her my highest recommendation. My son will be working with her again to learn how to design his own creations. Five stars all the way.

I think Vena is wonderful. She is patient, warm, supportive and knowledgeable. She can help you complete specific projects (make a dress or a stuffed animal), help you become a better sewer or teach you the art of pattern making. Also, I should mention, she work professionally in the fashion industry and give lots of great insight into how garments are designed. Love Her!

About Bruce

Bruce learned the game of chess in the late 60's, becoming a "Fischer Kid" during the 70's. In high school, he easily captured the team championships and represented his school until graduating in 1976.

He taught some of his fellow students to play and improve in their games during this time and enjoyed sharing his joy of the game with others. Although life has sent him in many directions career-wise, he has never strayed far from chess.

In addition to chess, Bruce has played semi-pro football and is also now a dance instructor. His understanding of working with body and mind to create the best you makes him a unique choice in mentoring young students about chess and life in general. His enthusiasm for life and the activities he teaches are contagious and he hopes that each of his students enjoy the time with him enough to "pass

About Abbie

Hi, I'm Abbie and I want to help you discover the joy of knitting! I've been knitting for over a decade. I've always had a passion for creativity and crafting, and my aunt first introduced me to knitting in middle school. When I went to college I didn't have as much time to knit as I would have liked, but dove back in as soon as I graduated. Knitting is not only a creative outlet for me, but I finding it very meditative and practical as well. I live in the Rocky Mountains so I need warm clothes and love slow fashion (I'm learning to sew in order to expand my me made wardrobe). I love to play with color and can't resist a great skein of yarn.

Some of my favorite projects to knit are socks, hats and scarves. I'm also currently enrolled in classes to learn how to tech edit knitting patterns to help designers produce accurate, easy to

follow knitting patterns.

Personally, I am a mother to a toddler, rescue dog & rescue cat. I live in Colorado with my family and I enjoy hiking in the Rocky Mountains, kayaking, fishing, camping, crafting and cooking.

Bgcheck Background Checked

About Kyle

I'm a class B (almost class A) player who has been playing chess seriously for just over a year, though I've been playing the game since I was a child. I regularly play in competitive over-the-board tournaments, as well as playing daily online. I have an International Master as a coach, so I am constantly learning myself and I understand what it's like to be a student of the game.
I can analyze student's games, identify weak areas of play, and develop a personalized routine to help you improve. Every day, I dedicate hours of studying to chess openings, tactics, chess history, endgames, and strategic concepts, and I am eager to teach this information to others.

Dude really knows his stuff and goes above and beyond to try to help you identify your weaknesses and then improve on them. I've already gone up a few dozen rating points and I've only just started with him.
