I'm a Home Economics teacher with 30 years crochet experience. I have skills and strong foundation in handicrafts and specialize in fundamentals of crochet. I typically use inspirational ideas around me and modify them according to my students' needs. I structure my lessons in a way the students will learn what they want to learn without feeling bored.

I'm available for eager students of all ages and experience levels. I would love to work with you and help you learn to master the basics of this needlework. I will also help you build a crochet portfolio that you can use any time as a quick reference guide (and inspiration as well) so you can comfortably make your very own DIY crochet projects!

About Loudel

Very helpful and insightful, patient and kind. Good mix of history, culture, and language!

Loudel was such a patient teacher when I was learning Tagalog. She catered her lessons to me, as she was aware that I grew up with tagalog speaking parents. In addition, growing up as a Filipino-American, she provided me with a short history lesson in the beginning to help me understand how the language was derived. I really appreciated this! Loudel is also patient and sends you lessons and documents to use and practice with! I would recommend Loudel to anyone who is trying to learn Tagalog!

Wether you have never touched a chess piece in your life or you have already beat everyone who will play with you I would be thrilled to help you plan your next move. A typical first lesson would likely involve playing a game and analyzing it for mistakes, but if that isn’t your speed I will happily provide you with tactical puzzles or lessons on notation or work with you on a particular phase of the game you want to focus on. Let me help you take things to the next level while having fun along the way.

About Eric

I am fairly new to teaching but what I lack in experience I make up for in enthusiasm. My hope is to provide you with some of the tools and techniques that I have acquired over years of playing, and to do so in a fun and relaxed way.

"Sam is a truly fantastic teacher. I am a clinical counselor and very picky with giving praise to anyone in the helping and teaching professions, but Sam, who (among other qualifications), also has a psychology AND teaching background, has a gift of making children feel almost instantly accepted, cherished, and excited. He is patient, warm, strategic but flexible, always adjusting to my daughter's needs in an instant. Sam provides that perfect combination of inciting commitment and a disciplined approach to learning while allowing a child to grow in his or her own pace and have fun while doing it that most children need, and I can whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone."
