With each one of my students, I take into account how much time they are willing to practice, what genres interest them, and what learning style works best (for example, I've found that music theory makes things click faster for some people and saps all the enjoyment out of learning an instrument for others). I then come up with a structured lesson plan that is specifically catered to their needs.

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me. Look forward to hearing from you soon!

About Jonah
If you're going to hire a guitar teacher, your lessons should be something you look forward to every week. The majority of instructors use a one-size-fits-all approach, and as a result, their students can quickly become frustrated and lose interest. I've always found this unfortunate because playing the guitar can be such an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding experience.

With each one of my students, I take into account how much time they are willing to practice, what playing styles interest them, and what teaching approach works best. I then come up with a lesson plan that is specifically catered to their needs.

While my background is in classical guitar, I enjoy exploring other genres such as jazz guitar. If you're not sure what genre you want to study, let's first learn the basics and then go from there.

About Phil
I've been playing guitar for over 20 years and teaching since 2008. Along with teaching, I've also been pursuing music recording, an endeavor which has produced two full-length albums and one that is still in progress that should be released sometime in 2018.

*** Lesson Details ***
When teaching guitar or any other instrument, I typically use a method book to guide the lessons. In addition to the lesson book, which will cover music-reading, we'll learn scales, chords and strum patterns, among other things. I try to tailor each lesson according to the student's skill level and individual musical interests.

After learning the basics, we can learn different styles of music, including rock, blues, jazz, classical, etc. I look forward to exploring these genres with you!

*** Travel Equipment ***
I bring my own instrument. I would ex
pect my student to have or to rent his/her own instrument.

I am currently only accepting students interested in specializing in classical guitar.

_____________________________________________
Over the course of many years, I have taught various styles of guitar to many different types of people. Whether you're interested in learning to play a specific song, or if you've just always wanted to play guitar but weren't sure where to start, I will join you in your journey and help you discover the tools that you need to reach the level that you want.
I help my students figure out and understand how the instrument and their own hands work, so that they are able to get full control of the guitar and play in various styles with ease. I work to make sure as many doors as possible are open to my students, and I leave it up to them to decide which doors they want to walk through.

About Kirk
I have been studying music for most of my life and began teaching when I was 16. I have been given the opportunity to learn from some of the best musicians and teachers around. Before relocating to Denver, I regularly gave performances throughout the Cincinnati area, as well as in surrounding states. I earned a bachelors of music in guitar performance at The College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati. While studying there I was able to meet musicians with different approaches to music and broaden my perspective on the way that I played and taught. Since moving to Denver, I have begun graduate studies at the Lamont School of Music.

I have taught students of all ages and skill levels and have been able to watch my students meet goals of all sorts in their lessons. One of the studios that I teach at was also recognized in the category of
"Best Music Instruction" by Cincy Magazine.

If you have never picked up an instrument before, I would love to introduce you to the basics of music as well as the guitar. If you have played some guitar, or another instrument, and are looking to hone your skills and maximize your potential, it would be my pleasure to help you along that track.

The guitar is my first instrument. My style ranges vastly from folk, rock, finger picking, blues. Some influences, to name a couple would be John Mayer, Pink Floyd, Jack Johnson, Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, etc. I've been writing and performing music for nearly 20 years, and my understanding of practical and applicable music theory is exceptional. I've taught from beginners to seasoned musicians playing 20 years.

About Jacob
My name is Jacob and I've been playing music ever since I was about 12. I fell in love with it and have played music everyday for hours ever since. It's a huge privilege to teach others the same passion. Over 6 years ago I quit my full time job working with troubled youth to teach music full time at my studio, Inside Out Studio. We now have over 200 happy students and 13 teachers. I have a few available times during the day that I'd like to pick up a few more students. We are an award winning studio for our teaching and our students are often the same. I personally teach acoustic and electric guitar, bass, keys/piano, and mandolin. I love teaching all ages, including adults. Thanks for your interest and let me know if you have any questions.

My goal by the end of our lessons together is to have you feeling comfortable not only playing basic songs but learning and performing new songs on your own.

We did a small coffee shop concert together a while back and not only was she always on time and prepared for rehearsals, but she was very gracious and helpful in offering advice to the others performers (mostly me :P)
