My teaching experience dates back to my University days. I was in my first year of my music degree when I applied for my first teaching position at a music school in Australia. I taught there throughout the Four years of my Bachelor's Degree and remained teaching
In 2012, I relocated to Miami and have been teaching from my private home studio while I continue working on my music career. As a musician and educator, I am very passionate about my teaching and like to bring the best out in my students. Every lesson is tailored specifically to your individual learning needs. I will teach you a vocal technique based on the Seth Riggs Teaching method with my own methods implemented, performance skills, repertoire selection, and audition preparation amongst other skills. It doesn't matter what your desired goal is, I can help you achieve it. The most important part of it all is that you have fun!!
And for piano I like to teach through a series of books depending on your learning levels. We can start at book one, with scales from the book A Dozen a Day, or we can take the the more traditional route of scales, or learn popular songs. This decision can be made by you and I when we meet at our first lesson and discuss what your goals are as a musician.
*** Lesson Details ***
Every lesson is tailored to your individual learning levels. I normally asses this in the first lesson. Lets start with the Singers.
Most singers are looking for help with contemporary popular music so using specific texts are void here. I will teach you a method of singing technique based on the Seth Riggs singing method, implemented with a technique called "Emotion Centered Singing" which will help you understand music beyond melody and composition but also through text and individual interpretation through story telling customed to your needs. I also teach Musical Theatre Singing, pop, rock, jazz, so if these are routes you would like to take, I can help you on your way there. I will help you choose repertoire for auditions, performances, we will work on performance and audition technique and many more fun things!!!
For the Pianists. This also depends on what you want to get out of your lessons. Do you want to learn pop songs? arrangements? Or do you want to learn classical pieces? I ask you all these questions and more at our first lesson to make sure you and I are both happy with the direction we will take. I use either Scale Books or The Dozen a Day Series or the ABRSM Piano series, Alfred's Adult Piano book and many more. Once again the important factor here is Fun based learning!
*** Studio Equipment ***
I provide a full size digital weighted piano for all Lessons, it has various different sounds and a great grand piano sound for piano students. Printer for any homework given, and stationery
*** Travel Equipment ***
I can provide some books for learning and make copies accordingly. The student should have a working piano/keyboard in the home. If i request they purchase a book for their learning development, they are required to purchase it.
*** Specialties ***

I've been teaching Music for 5 plus years and my students have gone on to accomplish great things. My goal and challenge for every student is to teach them how to play, read and listen to music. This will enable them the ability to play any song and any style of music. I specialize in Jazz, R&B and Classical. Typically I learn my students leaning habits whether its hands on or visual and their attention span, so I can't effectively teach my students.

I help beginner students to learn about the basics of playing piano and musical knowledge.
Studio has a baby grand piano, and an upright piano, several music stands, and some varied repertoire for use. It also has a nice seating area for parents that wish to observe
Piano beginner repertoire for children and teens: John Thompson's Easiest Piano Course and the Piano Adventures series. Supplemental music also used to aid in development
Older teen and adult beginner repertoire: Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course. Supplemental music also used to aid in development.
Voice repertoire, will be tailored to each individual student but I recommend the 24 Italian Songs and Arias book, as well as the Teen's Musical Theatre Collection or Kids Broadway Collection for beginners.

As a music education graduate from James Madison University, I have worked with students from Kindergarten to lifelong learning groups in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I have especially enjoyed working with young students who are just being introduced to music.
I have taught beginner piano at several locations including Mike's Music in Ellicott City, Maryland and Nova Music Center in Manassas, Virginia and look forward to introducing your beginning student to the piano.
I grew up learning classical methods for voice and have been able to translate those healthy techniques to other styles of music. I have most recently performed in operas through JMU and other professional groups, have been involved in their musicals as well as in semi-professional productions, and have enjoyed my time singing in jazz combos. Participating in both performance and education has always been important in my life, and I hope to continue this trend. Not only do I find both settings incredibly enjoyable, but I a
While voice is my primary instrument, I also offer piano for beginning and intermediate students as well as ear training lessons. While we have fun in our lessons and with music, a certain amount of discipline and practice time is necessary for improvement. You'll find that I'm very organized in my approach for all subjects, as I take the time that you are paying for seriously. I work hard to offer comprehensive lessons that will help you with whatever genre you're learning or skills you're working to hone.
If you have any questions at all- about lessons, your teacher search, or scheduling, feel free to send me a note, and I'll be happy to get back to you as quickly as possible!

I will expect students to study and practice on their own time. Purchasing a piano book depending on playing level will be OPTIONAL as I can provide piano material. I will expect improvement every lesson starting from day one. We will get to know each other and start from there. We will also be following a lesson plan.
Sight reading, rhythm, and ear training will be included in the lesson.
I am a composer and musician currently working towards a Bachelor's in Music Composition. I've been playing the drum kit and piano / performing since i was twelve years old. I was under the instruction of the pianist & composer: Marc Douyon. I've won multiple composition contests.
Music is a language, a science, a type of math, and an art. No matter what angle you look at it from, it's beautiful. I want to show others the joy that expressing yourself through music can bring you.
And remember, don't stop practicing!
Everyone learns at their own pace and I will adjust my lessons according to the skill level of my students. I can provide the necessary material for the lessons but will recommend books that will enhance your play
Having your own instrument is NECESSARY so students can practice on their own time. At the church I can provide the instruments for the lessons: I have a full four piece drum kit, and a mini grand piano. The church is available to me at all times.
ALL lessons will include sight reading, rhythm, and ear training.
Soy un compositor y músico que trabaja actualmente hacia una Bachiller en Composición de Música. He estado tocando la batería y el piano desde que tenía doce años. Yo estaba bajo la instrucción del pianista y compositor: Marc Douyon. He ganado varios concursos de composición.

I would recommend him.
I have been teaching piano for the past few years. I enjoy working with beginning students and building up their skills from scratch. Lessons are a fun mix of piano fundamentals, such as reading notes and rhythms. I combine that aspect with learning new pieces and games that target other skills, like ear training and time feel. I also like having students apply their newfound skills to improvising and composing.
I take a structured and detailed approach in the lessons but still keep things fast-paced and enjoyable.
In the first lesson, communication is very important to me. I want to find out what you love about music, so that we can build skills which directly contribute to your musical passions. My approach with a new student involves discussing what they are hoping to get out of taking lessons. Together, we come up with a series of goals that we will work towards achieving during our sessions. I believe in tailoring the lesson to each individual student- there is no one size fits all method to learning!
I welcome students of all skill levels and ages, including complete beginners!
I can provide repertoire for you, and I also am open to working on pieces that you are interested in learning.

Learn piano in a creative and functional way with the Brain-Based Piano Method focused on kids who are curious about music and for adults that like to have fun.
The Brain-Based Piano Method is a mindful and comprehensive learning system that incorporates the latest scientific understanding of how we learn. It leads children to learn music the same way they learn their first language: first by listening, then by singing, then by playing
I am teaching a new method of piano learning that is most focused in which the children adopt a flexible attitude towards learning, create the habit of making connections, such as the ones between music and math, and apply the practice habits and memorization techniques from their piano study to other areas of their lives.
I have taught in music schools in Venezuela. I was a flute teacher and also a musical kindergarten teacher. I have participated in orchestras and music groups in Venezue
I am currently teaching as a volunteer in Mind & Melody, Inc. A non-profit organization that focused on bringing musical experience to participants with Alzheimers and dementia. The sessions are for one hour and they learn basic concepts of music and also explore different instruments through the demonstrations.
My goal is to teach music in a fun way and not only training the ear and the skills but also developing the mind and mindfulness.
