ass Band, and the Worcester Brass Band.

*** Lesson Details ***
In lessons, I find it important to work on tone production, technique, etudes for concentration, and a piece that the student and I pick out together. I also like to incorporate a little theory in the mix so student understands what they are reading. Most of all, I want the student to feel relaxed and have fun while learning. A relaxed musician who enjoys what they are doing always plays beautifully.

Maeve L.

Slatersville, RI

About Maeve

My name is Maeve L. I have been playing the violin since the age of 6 and I am now in my junior year of college. I attend Rhode Island College and study privately with Professor John Sumerlin. Before Professor Sumerlin, I studied under Daniela Gongora, Elizabeth Faidley, Charles Sherba and David Rubenstein and I am a graduate of the Suzuki Method, therefore, I prefer to teach by this method. I began teaching in my freshman year of college, mostly younger students (elementary age). I am able to provide private lessons from my home studio, from the college, or travel to the student's home.

Mark is a self-taught Ableton guru. This makes him very aware of various difficulties the self-motivated newcomer may face. I had already played with Ableton on and off over the years prior to taking lessons with Mark; he is quick to recognize what I already know and focus on the gaps in my knowledge. He's also just a really nice guy who you will undoubtedly end up chatting about your favorite artists with after the lesson concludes. Give him a try if you're looking for flexibility in how you learn and when you are able to meet.

Emmanuelle B.

Cranston, RI

About Emmanuelle

Classically trained professional violinist. I have been playing violin since eight years old. I hold a BA in music with a violin emphasis at Lee University in Cleveland, TN. This degree has sharpened my instrumental skills by giving me a furnished background and understanding of the musical realm.

I have been playing and studying music for about twenty years. I have been able to teach music to several schools to a diverse group of young and adult students. My teaching experience also includes performing with students in front of large audiences several times per year. And therefore, I am a
ble to provide well-rounded skill sets and technics as a violin music teacher.

I was born and raised in Haiti. I have performed in many Symphony Orchestras. My last Orchestra experience was with the Lee University Symphony Orchestra (LUSO). I spent three consecutive semesters as an Assistant Principal second violin section at LUSO. My very first violin teacher was Yvrose Philippe Auguste, then I studied with Tony Jean Baptiste, and David Cesar at Holy Trinity Music School in Haiti. Then I came in the States, went to Lee University to study violin under Professor Weiyi Yu. Mrs. Yu was born and raised in Guangzhou, China. She went to Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Mrs. Yu has performed with great performers of our time such as Isaac Stern, Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman, Nadja Sonnenberg, Pavarotti, Joshua Bell, and Yo Yo Ma. So, I was fortunate to study with this phenomenal violin professor.

Last but not least, I look forward to getting my Master's degree in Music Education & Performance.
