I have a Master's degree in Intercultural Studies, which makes me an expert at understanding and connecting with people from any cultural background. I enjoyed taking lessons from Elise. She put a lot of work into making sure I could pronounce German words correctly. I got some basic understanding before going on a trip to Germany. Her lesson helped me to understand some sineage and simple instructions. I recommend her as a German teacher.

I was born and raised in Belgium and went to a Flemish-speaking school from kindergarten until 5th grade. I am grateful to have been immersed in a Flemish school from a very young age because this language has been permanently etched into my brain! Learning languages helped me to be a more well-rounded person because it opened up my understanding of culture, humanity, and the world. It would be my honor to hopefully do the same for you! Have you ever wanted to learn this wonderful and very humoristic language and culture? Be it you're just travelling  because someone told you that they're making the best cheese in the world (which is true!) or you're moving there because someone got you a job (lucky you!) or you just want to learn another language because you're curious. Let me warn you: It is not a modification of the German language, even though there's a few words that might look similar at first glance, but they're pronounced completely different! So, a small country with a huge culture! Ik hoop, tot ziens!

Originally born in Germany, I developed a strong interest for music and languages early on. Already in Grammar School I got all my friends together and we would put up little plays that we then performed in front of other classes. Right out of High School my mom and I, an educator at the time, wrote a children's Musical together which found great response with the audience, parents and other teachers. 
During my Music studies in the Netherlands, I was offered an internship at the local Music School where I enjoyed my first coaching experiences. I wanted to become fluent in Dutch, so I asked my friends to talk to me in the native language in order for me to learn it. 
After graduating I was chosen as one of the finalists of the local Singer/songwriter Festival that year and got nominated. Over the years I built my own clientele of private students in voice as well as piano which was very exciting. During my stay in New York City, I had the opportunity to work as a musical director with the Broadway cast of the 2005 "Dreamgirls" production as well as to perform with them. That gave me the opportunity to supervise a large group of very talented young people. I also worked with opera singer Kenneth Scott and television director Richard Scanlon on musical pieces and monologues. At some point, I'm hoping to finish my Master's degree in Acting in San Francisco so I can be even more proficient in teaching. 
Besides writing music and performing in plays, I love to bring out the best in my students! I can only offer what I've learned from my own teachers who were above exceptional! Hi! This is Serena. I have two bachelor degrees in filmmaking and media studies and history from the University of Minnesota. I have been working in digital filmmaking and live studio recording professionally for over 4 years. As of my second history major, my focused area of study is in Europe and I've done multiple research studies in the Middle East. I scored 5 on AP World History, AP European History, and 4 in AP American History. I will make history such an interesting subject for you to learn!

      Ballet has been my passion for almost 18 years. I started when I was 3 (now I'm 22), and I only love ballet more and more each day. I was trained in the Vaganova style of ballet (Russian) until I was 14 in Minnesota. When I moved to Ohio for high school, the dance school in my area taught in the Balanchine style of American ballet. When I returned to Minnesota for college in 2015, I started dancing at the Minnesota Dance Theater. I recently moved to Florida and run my own home dance studio.
