With over 10 years of playing experience under my belt as well as a degree in Music Performance, I am qualified to teach both electric and acoustic guitar. I construct personalized lessons so that each individual can learn at their own pace and comfort while still being able to enjoy a student oriented session.

I have been helping students reach their goals for over 20 years! I am a working musician and professional performer who has been involved in music my entire life. My teaching methods help students achieve success because I adjust to each student's needs and abilities, individually, to create a great experience. I couple traditional teaching with performances and offer professional student shows and concerts throughout the year to help enrich the experience! As a professional session guitar player for over ten years, I will use my expertise to integrate necessary information like technique and theory into each lesson, while also designing part of each lesson to the students specific goals, (Songwriting, Reading, College Prep, Specific styles, Shredding, etc.)

I tailor each lesson to fit your individual needs and will get you strumming your favorite songs, reading music, taking soaring solos, or writing your own melodies while simultaneously deepening your understanding of the language of music. At the end of each lesson you’ll receive an MP3 of all the material covered.

I believe in building music fundamentals while fostering a love of playing. My fun, imaginative, and age appropriate classes are just right for any budding musician! Each lesson is customized to get the individual student excited about music, that means playing songs they like and having fun while learning the essential techniques and developing musicality. I have extensive experience working with children 5-16 and adapt my teaching to promote success for each unique student.

Experienced music teacher with nearly 10 years experience teaching students of all ages and abilities from beginner to advanced. I also have experience teaching music to students with special needs, including autism and total vision impairment. I begin accepting students for guitar at age 8 and teach students up to age 99+. For students younger than 8 who wish to learn guitar, I start them on a ukulele which is much easier for very young students to handle. With lessons from me, you'll learn to read music and understand tab, develop your ear for hearing music (ear training), music theory, and technique with a goal of getting you playing your favorite style of music in the quickest time possible. I can teach you to play whatever style you wish. I can even help you learn to compose your own music!
