I have tutored all sections of both the ACT and SAT as well as many other subjects for over eight years and have logged over 4,000 tutoring hours as well as over 650 five star ratings through other tutoring services. 

I tutor because I love the challenge of helping people understand new ideas and enjoy making it fun for them. I also like the flexibility that it gives me to pursue my other interests including filmmaking and surfing.

Some of the other subjects I tutor are: SHSAT/TOEFL/GED, Statistics, research paper writing, Geometry, college essay writing, Algebra I & II, English, probability, study skills and have helped students with a wide range of learning disabilities.

The reading section has four different types passages, each with their own nuances. In addition it has a handful of different question types that require different approaches. We will cover how to efficiently make your way through the reading and then how to approach the varying question types. This course is for intermediate level ACT students so it serves as a platform to start learning how to tackle more difficult reading questions.

Knowledgable and EXTREMELY patient
Christopher came here to teach me pivot tables which I needed to know for work. I had no knowledge of what they were or did and when he left I had an understanding which I did not think I could achieve in such a short time. The patience he showed was wonderful as I was nervous and he put me at ease which is not an easy task! Helpful Geometry Tutor
Just had our first session with Christopher and my daughter is eagerly looking forward to the next one. He added clarity and helped her connect the dots on some concepts that she was unable to get from her high school teacher.

Relaxed but perceptive and capable

Having read Christopher's bio, I sensed that there was something special about him, and that he was the right one for our son who has some learning challenges, particularly in the area of Math. I believe it is very important a tutor connects not only on an academic level but also where there can be some light hearted conversation. Christopher arrived punctually for our first meeting and his assessment of our son. In advance of that meeting I had explained to Christopher what the challenges are and what our collective objectives are. As soon as I saw him, he appeared to relaxed but confident. After an initial introduction, I stepped away to let Christopher and our son become acquainted and he immediately set about establishing some common ground which happened to be a particular sport. No more than Christopher, our son is also very perceptive and despite the fact that he initially resisted the idea of any tutor, his words after this first meeting were "I can work with him"! Its obviously early days yet, but so far so good!

Chris is a wonderful, kind, and thoughtful tutor. We are very happy with his work in helping to organize our high school junior. Can't ask for more.
