Welcome students!

I am a licensed NYS 7-12 Mathematics instructor who has been classroom teaching and tutoring for over 20 years.   My passion is helping students in small group settings as we build relationships there and also accountability partners.  


I am so grateful to have reached so many students because of my patience, perseverance and ability to reach a wide range of learners.  I believe in the growth mindset and encourage every student to their full potential.  If you don't believe you know math, it's because you don't know it "YET".  

I have a passion for math and teaching and it shows!  I am very excited to show up to lessons and to make sure we are catering to our academic and social-emotional needs.    I look forward to meeting you "ZOOM".

Writing equations of lines— incorporating parallel and perpendicular lines; slope intercept, point slope and standard form; 
In different contexts – given point and slope, 2 points

Solving systems of equations and inequalities by graphing;

Solving Algebraically– putting elimination and substitution methods together and applying to word problems 

Exponent properties –multiplication, division, quotient rules; polynomial operations based on these properties

I am a licensed public-school Mathematics 7-12 Educator with 20+ years of experience in the classroom and private tutoring. I have been teaching full time in the private sector, but also work as a homebound instructor/substitute teacher for various high schools.

Over this period, I have also taught summer school for various districts and served as an adjunct faculty member at Adelphi University.
I have worked with elementary level students and adult learners as well and continue to do so as a substitute instructor in an adult learning center.  

I am extremely versatile in my pedagogical style and can successfully connect with a range of student abilities.  Well-known for my patience, I can explain a concept in a variety of ways in order that it be understood.  

Approachable and friendly, I make students feel comfortable and safe, yet have high expectations for them.  Highly energetic, hardworking, and dedicated, I strive to provide excellence in all I do for my students.  

It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my abilities to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, and intelligent educator.

This is a quick review I had made my students for a quiz we were having.

Zero Product Property and Trinomials "a" Not Equal to 1

This is a great video to go over basic factoring by GCF, Difference of 2 perfect squares, trinomials with a = 1 and factoring completely.  
It consists of 10 questions and is a great way to test to see if you have mastered the material.  
Only about 25 minutes long, it is the perfect length to review and remediate!
