Tutoring sessions with Julie help you learn the mysteries of digital photography, jump-start your creativity, and guide you along your photography journey, including basic Photoshop and Lightroom techniques. We build confidence together to achieve the results you are looking for.

If you don't know anything about your camera, don't understand the owner's manual, or if you are shooting in Auto Mode and want to do more, let's work together. 

We will start with the photography basics and work up to the Tripod of Photography - understanding ISO, Aperture, and Shutter speed - and how they all work together to control light.

When you are ready for more, composition is on the menu. Homework assignments include your photos reviewed and explained online to get the most out of your experience.

Julie earned the Photographic Craftsman degree in January 2014 and Certified Professional Photographer in May 2015 from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). She has taught for over 30 years and excels online with novice and amateur photographers.

You will learn why you should use a tablet and stylus to edit and enhance your photographs.  While there is a little learning curve, with some practice, you will soon wonder how you did your work without it. Its precision is superior to simply using a mouse or trackpad.

A demonstration explaining all the parts and how to set up the tablet for your specific style will be covered in the lesson.

The Wacom tablet works with Mac and PC.
