Hey! Kaye the Artist here. I truly believe that anyone can learn to draw if they have the right attitude and the right teacher. I am that teacher!

In high school I had a teacher who believed in me and helped me to foster my talents to the best of their ability. Unfortunately as is often the case with public school art programs, there just wasn't the funding or the know how to help me succeed. Because of that I entered a college art program grossly behind. In fact it was easy to look at the wall and realize I was actually lacking in the talent department! Can you believe that? Fortunately for me I was more determined to learn how to draw and threw myself into my schoolwork. By the end of the semester under the tutelage of a fantastic artist and teacher I was on par with the rest of the class. That's when I realized that in the world of art, talent only takes you so far. 

Under my tutelage you will be able to learn to draw, paint and design anything your little artist heart desires! I will take you from drawing basic stick figures to figure drawings and portraiture. From painting like Bob Ross to painting with your own style that is uniquely you. All while helping you to grow your artist's self esteem.

In this class you will learn the basic proportions of the face. This will enable you to 'level' up your portraits just by learning a few basic rules of proportions. We will also learn about how to select good portraits for lighting and a little bit of form and cast shadow.

Proportions of the Face

My soon be 10 year old daughter absolutely loved the energy and teaching style of Ashley. As a parent it's great to see my daughter glow from what she learned in the one hour first class. Excited to see what she learns on the future!
