Not good for young children. Inappropriate personal boundaries and discussions with parents about her own life.

I conduct group lessons for young children, which I am unable to state on my profile/list of services here. You can send me a message if you are interested in them!

I believe EVERYONE should have the opportunity to learn music, especially children, in a fun and enjoyable way! As someone who grew up around music (my mother is a music teacher!) I wish to give that chance to others.

I started playing the piano at around the age of four, and helped out as a substitute teacher at my mother's music school back in Singapore while in High School. I left shortly after to pursue music at Berklee College of Music, where I graduated summa cum laude in August 2013 with a Bachelor's of Music in Piano Performance and Contemporary Writing and Production!

My students range from as 3.5 years old, to the grandmother of a couple of my students. I wo
rk mostly with children, but have a handful of adult beginner students I work with as well.

Everyone is different - and I personally take the time and effort to develop and customize my lessons and materials for each student. I'll push you (a little!), to make you realize just how much you can do!

Music is an all-rounded experience. Not only can I offer you a chance to learn how to play different styles of piano, from jazz to pop to classical, but I can also teach you how to write your own songs, arrange them, and perhaps (if you like) record them!

A very energetic and enthusiastic instructor. Tammy came very well prepared for her lesson and brought readily custom-made materials that make the lesson very smooth. Our son is really excited about his piano lessons again!!

Thanks a lot!

About Orit
Hi / Shalom / שלום

I have experience with teaching beginners, intermediate and very advanced Hebrew students. I was and am teaching mainly adults of any age from 16- to 90-year-olds.

During my lessons, I use different methods to teach new material, to practice it and to engage the student in conversations in Hebrew. Following each lesson a summary of the lesson is emailed to the students. The summary includes review, my recordings in Hebrew, links and more practice options.

One of the focuses of my Hebrew teaching career between 2014-2016 was developing a program for teaching to read in Hebrew. The result of these 2 years’ work is an eBook “Learn to Read Hebrew in 1 to 8 Weeks!” – which is available in Amazon.
My brand name, “Ivrit By Orit”, includes Ivrit, which means Hebrew in Hebrew, and my first name Orit, which means 'li
ght' in Hebrew.
After you sign-up for my lessons, I will forward you my website and FaceBook links where you can learn more about me, the Hebrew language, and Israeli and Jewish culture.

About Bettina
I lived in Israel for over a decade, and graduated from the University of Jerusalem with degrees in Education and History. I regularly read Torah, chant megillot, and lead services in my synagogue.

I grew up in Sweden, speaking Swedish at home, but going to French school. At age four, I was immersed in a French environment, and had to sink or swim. I swam! In my late teens, my family moved to Israel, so I became fluent in Hebrew as well. I understand a lot about the language acquisition process.

While languages fascinate me, and come easily to me, I understand that that is not the case for everyone. I am very patient, and willing to try different methods in order to succeed. I realize that some people learn best by seeing the materials, while others need to hear them, or even sing them! Others need to move their bodies and engage in
kinesthetic learning. I facilitate all these methods.
I have taught all ages, from preschoolers to the elderly. I have taught in schools, preschools, informal educational settings (like summer camps) as well as one-on-one privately.

I’m very flexible with timing, and available as often as you’d like, Sunday to Friday.

Bettina helped me to succeed at speaking French with my non-English speaking friends in Paris, on a recent trip to Paris. She helped me realize that I could speak the language again. Bettinas’ style, knowledge, and patience are some of her keys to my success in Paris. I appreciate her effort. I will continue in a manner such that I will not lose this progress. Merci beacoup!

I started taking lessons about a month ago and so far it has been a very positive experience. My Japanese is at the intermediate and conversational level and I reached out to Sensei Yoshi to help me take my skills to a higher level. The teaching materials are very effective and Yoshi is very knowledgeable and supportive and is correcting my grammatical errors, which is exactly what I need. I signed up for 2 months' worth of lessons to start and will probably continue 3times a week for at least six months. I highly recommend Sensei Yoshi.
