I can't say enough about this amazing teacher. My two daughters have been with her for several years now. They have grown as vocalists and performers. Dena has an extensive range of musical talent, training and knowledge. She is intuitive and respectful of a child's feelings. She always seems to know how to best approach her students to get the most from them. I could go on and on.
If you are looking for a music teacher, I say "look no further".

Elaine was my first private voice teacher. She truly understands what the vocal demands are for anyone who is considering a career in musical theatre and gives singers tools to use their natural truthful voices to their best potential without vocal damage. Elaine has worked in the business and it is evident in her work. She is a professional who truly cares for her students successes. Personally, she has provided me with a solid foundation of vocal techinque that has helped me to strengthen and free my instrument. This has allowed me to sing truthfully and share stories with audiences. I would always leave lessons feeling ready to go and sing for another couple of hours because of the freedom Elaine's teachings gave my voice.

Both my children have studied with Elaine for over 23 years and I would highly recommend her for children starting out to adults wishing to either perform or just be a better singer for fun. Elaine is fantastic with working with professional singers looking to sharpen their vocal skills too or students applying to college. Elaine saw potential in both my children who did perform professionally for several years. Elaine is warm, friendly and brings out the best of not only your singing but your presentation as well.

Lessons consist of learning a solid vocal technique, and learning various repertoire from Broadway, pop, to classical. Also, performing skills will be incorporated, so that the singer feels comfortable acting the song as well. I strongly believe that singers must be actors, and that is what makes us different from instrumentalists. It is also a lot of fun! For children or adults who are willing, I also teach sight singing and spend some of the lessons time learning some basic reading skills.
