The most rewarding feeling is to watch someone's growth and to know that I am a part of it through teaching. Sharing my musical knowledge has been my passion since four years ago.
My experience comprises preparation for festivals, competitions, and examinations. You can expect reliability, quality, and attention to details from me.
About myself, I was enrolled in one of the most prestigious conservatories in NYC concentrating on classical piano performance.

About Yumiko

I have been playing the piano for 17 years and enrolled to one of the most prestigious conservatories in New York City. Teaching the piano is rewarding to me, especially to witness one's growth and knowing that I am a part of it. Also, it is not just about learning, but it is also about the fun

Peter has exceeded my expectations, I look forward for my lesson every week. I honestly can say He is the best teacher I’ve ever had. I am a 44 yo violin beginner student who has had 5 teachers in the last 6 years, I didn’t learn much with them, this been said, with Peter in just 3 months I feel I have learned more than my other teachers. Peter is so, so patient and extremely professional. I am very pleased to have found such a wonderful teacher.

Peter has been teaching bass to our son for several years and our son has become quite proficient. It's a bonus that Peter is unfailingly upbeat, professional, and a pleasure to have around. He truly loves music and conveys his appreciation to his students - so much so that now my husband is taking cello lessons from Peter, too.

I hold a Master Degree in Vocal performance from the University of Montreal, and I have been training with coaches at the Lyric Opera of Chicago for an additional 20 years. I have acquired pop technique from a famous teacher in California. Since I am also a pianist, I can play the accompaniment for the singers. Most of my voice students are cast with lead parts for school productions after a year or two of training with me.

Opera is an amazing art form; the human voice can be so focused that it can carry over an entire orchestra with no amplification. Whether you aspire to this art form or not, it is great to learn how to support and project your voice and to keep it healthy for a lifetime of singing enjoyment.
I recommend adults take from 45 minutes to 1 hour lessons weekly for skill building. The price of lessons DECREASES by 10% after each 5 lesson purchased for the first 15 lessons.

About Julia

I have a Master’s in Opera Performance from the Boston and New England Conservatories as well as graduating from Vocal Performance programs at Boston University and Western Washington University. I have sung professionally with Boston Lyric Opera, Children’s Theater Companies, churches and synagogu

My daughter has learned so much with Julia in the past few weeks. It's been a true pleasure to witness the progress. They have worked on sight reading, tone, physical posture, and many other aspects of singing and sound production. Julia is a very caring and supportive instructor. She is full of enthusiasm and humor, and this shows in her choice of singing materials. We look forward to having more lessons with her!

"Adam is a teacher par excellence. I am self taught from a well known book. I was doing well I thought until I got stuck. Adam gently showed me where I erred and made great suggestions for me to move on correctly. I never felt rushed or “ put down.” Adam was patient, open for questions, encouraging, comforting. I know I need much help to correct and advance in guitar from matters such as tuning, restringing, reading, and other things too many to write about. I look forward to my next lesson with enthusiasm."

James is an amazing teacher, he not only understand the guitar but also the theory to go along with it! He has helped me become a better musician all around! My minimal knowledge of music theory and guitar has grown tremendously since we began! Has is also helping me to cultivate my unique voice for the guitar! "I hired Stephanie to work with me at Lynn Middle School as a woodwind technician for one semester, Spring 2012. Stephanie was always punctual, organized, and outstanding with the kids. She immediately set up a fun and safe environment for them to learn. Her work was excellent. We were preparing for our district Music Performance Assessment Festival and received Superior ratings. I have no doubt we owe part of that rating to her hard work. She really goes above and beyond, on one occasion I had to miss my afternoon classes for jury duty and she ran rehearsal without any problems. I wish we still had Stephanie in our district. I highly recommend her."

"I had been playing the violin for years but had gone on a long hiatus before I began taking lessons with Evan. I decided I wanted to take up the violin again, for pleasure, and he went above and beyond to ensure that I really got everything out of my lessons as possible, while making sure I had fun. He retrained me on a lot of fundamental work I'd lost and/or resisted as a child/teenager (I never thought I'd actually like playing etudes!) and he also drilled other beginner- to advanced-level skills into my playing. I will forever appreciate how he did this with a positive approach (non-confrontational, while professional), because he really improved my skills beyond what they had been even when I was playing professionally and competitively, years ago. Evan developed a great curriculum that was very well-personalized; he made me look forward to lessons (and he actually made me enjoy practicing!); and, most of all, he helped me appreciate the violin in a much more profound sense than ever before. Also, let me mention that he is talented and skilled beyond comprehension, so he's about as highly qualified as they come. I encourage you to take a few lessons with Evan and see how quickly you'll develop in his capable hands."

How to Be a Singer: Finding Gigs as a Backup Vocalist

Backup singing is a crucial part of great albums and concerts. While it may seem that the lead singer has a tough job, it's easy to forget how challenging it is to seamlessly weave complex harmonies into an overall melody, all without taking over the spotlight. If you’re a singer who doesn’t necessarily want to take center stage, consider a career as a backup singer. Great backup singers get to be a part of some amazing experiences without the harsh glare of fame. It’s a big job, but it's …
