About Jerry
I've been playing and loving music for well more than half a century, now. I got started in second grade when my grandpa brought home a little violin one day, and I've been at it ever since. I was fortunate to take lessons for more than ten years with Carita Page, a teacher who was very warm, encouraging, and caring. I do my best to pass that on to my students in addition to the technique of playing and the theory of music, fascinating as those are.

I feel that playing in groups is very valuable experience for students and gives you a side of music that private lessons alone cannot. I
encourage students to look for opportunities to do that. To help provide those opportunities I organized the Cranbury Scout Band, one of very few continuously-operating Scout bands in the country, which I have directed for more that ten years now. I've also been on the staff of several Jamboree Scout bands.

*** Lesson Details ***
Every student is a different individual and learns in different ways. I try to make lessons as interesting and as useful to each student as I can, and include different things based on your interests and capabilities. Most students find duets are fun, so I include them often - both duets with the same instrument you are studying and duets with other instruments as well so you can learn the sound of such combinations. I encourage you to "play with your ears" as well as your fingers, to become a critical listener to your own performance and to decide whether you sound the way you want to sound.

I encourage students to try different things to become a more rounded musician. This might be something closely related - a flutist trying the piccolo or a clarinetist trying the bass clarinet. Or, it might be further afield - a flutist trying the guitar or a violinist learning movable Do and solfeggio singing. Every aspect of music is good to know.

*** Studio Equipment ***
My music studio is in a separate building - actually a renovated barn about two centuries old. The studio contains a piano and all the other instruments that I teach, and is roomy enough not only for private lessons but for musical groups up to about ten. I have many other resources there as well, including files of music, a small music library, and a computer that we can use for many purposes.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Students need their instruments, music, and stands.
I bring my own instrument.

*** Specialties ***
Classical,
Marching Band,
Ethnic (such as Jewish, Irish)

About Andrei
Teaching music is my passion, it is more than just a career. I value each student and the time I have with them; helping them to explore the world of music. Hopefully after each lesson, my students walk away with a deeper understanding of music theory and have enjoyed their time. I am available to teach Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar, Bass, Upright Bass, Banjo, Ukulele, Mandolin, Piano, and beginner Drums.

I am a husband and father. I teach all age ranges.

*** Lesson Details ***
I approach each lesson differently because every student is unique. During the initial
lesson I will begin to assess the student's ability, determine the best teaching technique for them, and setup a practicing at home guideline. My job is to help the student reach their individual goals and support them along the way. I feel every student deserves to learn to read music and I will concentrate on this with them.

Lessons are taught in my personal music studio; it is a laid-back, family friendly environment. There may be specific books and supplies I recommend purchasing (these will enhance the success of a budding musician). I will most likely also hand out sheet music of songs to practice and may recommend certain artists within specific genres for the students to listen to and familiarize themselves with.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in Classical/Flamenco guitar. I can teach many different styles such as Rock, Blues, Jazz, etc. I am always learning, and am willing to learn so that my students get the best experience possible.

So you just Love to sing... Always wanted to try... Big audition coming up... Trying to get into the school musical... Want to improve your professional skills Or simply want to impress your friends and relatives at the next family event - I'm here for you.
I am proud holder of the diploma of the Professional School of Music and Vocal Arts, specializing in "Popular and jazz vocal singing and coaching".
For over 15 years I've been providing vocal coaching and singing lessons to many wonderful students age 5 and above, while being a live stage performer myself. Nothing beats the real-life e
xperience!
While teaching technique I will show you how to integrate it into the songs you want to perform, eliminate your breaks, smooth out your transitions, add endurance and strength to the voice, sing on key better, and extend your range. I employ individual approach to every student. We will work on the song styles/genres YOU like. I have extensive collection of professional backing tracks without vocal part for you to sing along, practice and record a studio quality demo of a song you learned.
My goal is to take any talent/experience you have and bring it to the next level!

About Zach
As a teaching artist, my goal is to reinforce a healthy structure to your voice while expanding your capacities as an actor and performer by letting the complete singing actor emerge. I wish for my work in the studio to be accessible even when you are practicing on your own. I hope to empower each student to become self-sufficient on a personal level, understanding that each individual grows from different methods to find that perfect balance of artistic and technical instruction.

I am fresh off of the Celebrity Summit Cruise Ship performing as a lead vocalist in their production shows. Pr
eviously I have performed in the Anything Goes National Tour as the quartet tenor and a primary dancer. Before this, I had appeared in shows at Pittsburgh's prestigious theatre, The Pittsburgh CLO, most recently performing in their production of The Wedding Singer and previously as The Production Tenor in Singin’ in the Rain and Garvin in Footloose. Other theatre credits include multiple shows at Music Theatre of Wichita, West Virginia Public Theatre and The Connecticut Repertory Theatre, all of which have taught me what it takes to become a successful musical theatre performer in this competitive era.

I love teaching all students, but in particular high school students who are aspiring to attend college as a musical theatre major, non-theatre majors who are new to singing and want a stronger technical background, or actors who are new to the musical theatre scene and are looking to take their talent to the next level. I have a strong knowledge of repertoire ranging from contemporary musical theatre to golden age to opera/operetta. I have performed in musicals, operettas, plays, and have started my own collegiate a cappella group, The Statesmen. At Penn State, I was trained to not only teach musical theatre repertoire, but to include art songs and arias as well which have their own tool in a student's growth and versatility.

Most importantly, I like to have fun in the studio. I have a very open and goofy personality and want you to feel free to be goofy as well. Dare to fail. You may learn more from your voice cracking then you might from singing a beautiful note.

About Abe
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Abe Ovadia and I am a guitarist, composer & educator based in Central New Jersey. I was the winner of NYC’s 2016 Hot House Jazz Awards for best guitarist. My group has also performed at many renowned venues in New York City including The Blue Note, The Iridium, The Metropolitan Room, among many others. I hold a B.M. from Berklee College of Music & M.M. from New York University where I was also an adjunct professor.

My experiences in high school, college, & graduate school of studying with several different teachers on various instruments influenced t
he direction of my life in a profound way. These experiences instilled in me a deep appreciation of music that I believe is an important part of any well-rounded person. Furthermore, taking music lessons exposed me to a way of life that I otherwise would not have considered: a life in music.

I just finished my first lesson with Abe. It was great! I really feel like I learned a lot. I really like how he used the drums and metronome apps to enhance the lesson. And he gave me some handout to practice from, too. I'm excited for my next lesson.
