About Gregory
As a younger brother at the age of five, I began studying the piano because my older sister did. After my foundation in music strengthened I fell in love with the trumpet. At first, each note took time to develop and I enjoyed the challenge. The trumpet allowed me to travel all over the Southeast later in life and even to China with a 1940's Radio Show. I enjoyed many top-level bands the kindled my love and passion for good music. I want to share that kindling with my students in a nurturing and guiding situation, just like my teachers gave me.
I used to go to lessons and become so motivated and inspired that I thought I could change the world. I always knew that I would want to give back exactly that. As my performance opportunities grew into venues like Churchill Grounds, The Rialto, and The Variety Playhouse in Atlanta
and Radio City Music Hall, 54 Below, The Jazz Standard, Bowery Ballroom, Shapeshifter and Flushing Town Hall in New York, my fire for wanting to develop my teaching did also. I was always thinking back to what my old teachers gave me, inspiration. I then understood that inspiration is the key to success in life.

Lessons will be something the student looks forward to every week. We will work through common method books and learn material that the student has an interest in. For example, some students want to learn to play high notes, a popular song, improvise, or write their own songs. I am a laid back guy, but I do expect effort in the lessons and at home. I believe whatever you put into music is what you get out of it, and I will inspire and motivate the student to get as much out of the lessons as they can. Students will create, with my advisement, and update short term and long term goals every few months.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Keyboard or Piano and Music Stand

*** Travel Equipment ***
They should provide their instrument, instrument care products (valve oil), method books and sheet music.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in jazz and classical music. I use many common methods depending on how the student tends to learn the best, and will even combine different methods if the student requires it.

I have had several lessons so far with Gregory and as an experienced trumpet player can recommend him extremely highly.
I am getting back into the trumpet following a gap after playing for 10 years when I was at high school. Gregory has really helped getting my technique and sound going again, I have been really pleased with my improvement. He has a great demeanour and has been great fun to work with. He is also an excellent player, and is highly reliable and easy to schedule with.

I am an accomplished, award-winning guitarist, composer and teacher and have been teaching guitar and music for 20 years. I have both a Bachelor's and a Masters Degree in Music. I teach all levels from beginner to advanced, including at the university level, and all styles (rock, jazz, blues, folk, funk, metal, shred, pop, R&B, classical, etc.). I attended the National Guitar Summer Workshop, New Milford, Connecticut, to diversify my skills, participating in master classes with guitar icons Vinnie Moore, Stanley Jordan and Mick Goodrick.

I started college at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, and completed a Bachelor of Music degree summa cum laude, studying jazz guitar and composition/arranging, as well as completd the Honors program at Temple University's Esther Boyer College of Music. I earned a Masters of Arts degree in music composition at Rutgers University, studying with world renowned, Pulitzer Prize winning composer Charles Wuorinen. In my first year, he was awarded a Teaching Assistantship in Music Composition and Theory.

I pursued additional studies (and master classes) in composition with celebrated composers Aaron Jay Kernis, Harvey Sollberger, Jukka Tiensuu, David Felder, Mario Davidovsky, Charles Fussell, Austin Clarkson and George Russell; film score orchestration with Scott Smalley (Film Music Institute) and film scoring with Rick Baitz (The Manhattan Producer's Alliance), as well as performance studies with Wynton Marsalis, Max Roach, Billy Taylor, Bill Shindling, Magmus Andersson, Stu Hamm, Terry Bozzio, Frank Gambale, Larry Mitchell, Andy Timmons, Adrian Legg and Blues Saraceno.

About Justin
Can you rely on your voice to always be there for you? After singing, does your throat hurt? Do you want to learn how to belt? Can you let it rip when no one's watching but you choke up when you step in front of a microphone? Do you want to learn a vocal technique that just works?

We welcome all levels of experience and styles of voice. Become the singer you were meant to be!

Justin Pollinger is a vocal coach, singer, performer, and educator based out of Jersey City, NJ.

rs, NJ All State Choir and the NJ Region II Chorus.

Justin has spent 14 years studying under some of the best vocal coaches in New York and New Jersey, including Sarah Bachman Krieger (Manhattan School of Music, The Juilliard School), Steven Schnurman (The Juilliard School) and; Katherine Wessinger (University of Michigan). He currently studies under Melissa Perry (Westminster Choir College, Temple, and post-graduate work included 750 hours with Maestro Vittorio Rosetta of La Scala) While doing studies at Westminster Choir College, he studied with Tenor Eric Rieger (Eastman School of Music).

"Justin is so much fun to work with and always makes me feel good about performing, even when I get discouraged. He has helped me to discover a side of my voice that I didn't even know I had."
- Debbie Lingel

"Justin has been a miracle worker with my vocal development. I have gone through several instructors for numerous years and no one could tell me how to actually find my own voice. Justin was able to do that immediately and I was sold! Since then it has been a gratifying experience with our weekly lessons. Knowing I have Justin's techniques in my arsenal of tools make me a much more confident artist on stage. I can't thank him enough!

I went to Rutgers: Mason Gross School of the Arts for Vocal Performance as a freshman in Fall 2008; by the Spring of 2009, I was no longer a music student. Singing quickly became a laborious activity instead of an enjoyable past time; I felt as if I became incapable of adequately expressing myself because I was bogged down by a pretentious atmosphere and a teacher who lacked any sort of gravitational pull. Justin is the complete opposite.

I started studying with Justin in September 2013. He's so incredibly realistic. He lacks any form of pretense and his personality is so magnetic. Every time I walk into my lesson, I'm ready to go. He creates an atmosphere that is just so easy to adjust to, and he listens. I'm so grateful to have found him. In a little less than a year, he's helped me restore confidence in my vocal ability and gain back years of lost discipline in such a short time. He will hold you accountable without alienating you and for me that's invaluable. If you're looking for someone warm, but disciplined, Justin is your guy.

Working with Justin has helped me make enormous strides musically! Our lessons have transformed my voice, prepared me for the competitive world of singing, and given me the confidence and knowledge needed to succeed. In just one or two lessons I progressed in ways I never thought I could and opened up to different techniques that I did not even know existed. Justin is fun and easy to work with. His encouragement and spirit will push you to reach new heights and truly refine your vocal technique.

About Stacey
Most students in my studio range from age 4 to 12 years old when they begin their piano studies. I also teach female adults with beginner to intermediate experience as well. To keep things fun in the lessons, I incorporate sight reading apps as well as listening exercises to develop both reading and listening skills. My piano teaching combines time efficiency with fun and teach my students how to practice at home with the same spirit we have in the lessons.

I hold a Master's Degree in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music and have completed two years in piano pedagogy courses at the college level. I am currently teaching 15 students at my private studio and would love to see if we are a good fit for each other as teacher and student.

Stacey is an incredibly patient teacher who taught my son to love piano and his lessons. We have noticed a significant improvement and gain in piano knowledge over the past year and a half. It takes a unique combination of skill and talent to teach children and she is a rare find in New York.

Stacey taught all four of our children piano lessons weekly when she lived in the Midwest. She is great with the kids and is not only talented and knowledgeable about music, but also passionate about the art form. She was excellent about keeping them interested and excited about music and performance. I highly recommend her.

My son had been playing piano casually for a couple of years and hadn't really seen very much improvement so I reached out to Stacey. Since then, we've been a lot happier with his progress and urge anyone else looking to improve to commit to lessons.

About Nick
Hi. My name is Nikita, and I'm a professional saxophonist. I graduated from the Nizhniy Novgorod conservatory (Russian Federation) in 2013, with a mark of excellence and an honors degree diploma. Currently live in New York City.

I teach any of you willing to learn to play the sax – at any skill level, age or trade. For our music classes, we can make use of any means at our disposal. Let us have a lesson at my professional studio, in your home or on Skype. I will not only teach you how to extract hypnotizing musical sounds but also share the basics of musical notation, the gift of improvisation and playing to accompaniment.

My teaching experience in itself equals to some 10 years.
Through this time period, I have been working with Beginner to Advanced-level students of any ages. We have been practicing in my professional studio, at
my trainees’ premises or via Skype.
To any student of mine I offer a tried-and-true combination of techniques that have eventually made up my state-of-the-art teaching methodic.
It contains, but is not limited to, the following:
- establish the basis of musical theory including learning musical notation and reading scores;
- gaining extensive practice through performing popular classic to hit tunes;
- getting to know how to play to accompaniment;
- learning how to improvise in a variety of genres.
Truth be told, I really pride myself on offering all extras without your overpaying. As what I am longing for is:
- developing beginner musicians’ skill;
- giving rise to intermediate-level saxophonists’;
- polishing advanced sax players’ mastery.
And, no doubt, helping prepare for an upcoming concert or competition is an option, too, - and quite an honorable task for me.
So let us arrange a meeting and discuss my tailor-made offer – just for you!

I had been choosing a teacher for long before my choice turned next to Nikita, which I’m very happy about. Not everyone can be so straightforward in explaining stuff. He will always understand and prompt you. Apart from being a teacher with a big ‘T’, Nikita is a very amiable, sociable and responsible person! If you are still in two minds concerning your choice of a teacher, don’t lose your time, make an appointment with Nikita!

The history of me meeting Nikita started after his performance on my wedding. I really liked his style of play and his personality, too. A year later I decided to take up playing the sax and, of course, addressed Nikita with that – as I had been inspired particularly with his play. I put progress and success I could feel even after half a year of studies down to Nikita’s teaching skill. He will always reasonably praise me or scold if homework undone. To top it all, he inspires me to work and go on rising further. I just wish there was more time to take more lessons. Nikita, I will be coming more often when I finish my construction works, I promise! Thank you for your patience and perseverance in your noble work.
