About Adam
I hold a doctorate degree in Music and specialize in teaching classical music from the Renaissance period, Baroque, classical periods, as well as pop and broadway. I teach all voice types, with expertise in mezzo soprano and countertenor literature, but vast knowledge in all. I use proven vocal techniques along side vocal yoga practices to help people to find their true voice.

I have considerable experience training those with disabilities, mental illnesses, and performance anxiety. With all students we endeavor to sing healthily, preserving voices for longevity, and to meet whatever goals the students possess. I am studied in the Bel Canto, Lamberti, and Concone technique and have successfully prepared many students for auditions, contests, festivals, and self confidence for life. The techniques for singing that I use are to create a
sound, healthy, and free voice. Hope to study along side you!

If you are looking for a vocal instructor, I highly recommend Adam! Adam is one of the most patient and understanding people that I have ever met. He has a true passion for teaching and that can be seen during each lesson through a variety of vocal techniques. So far, our vocal pedagogy has included: how proper singing technique is accomplished, breathing and air support for singing, posture, diction, vowels and articulation, range extension, and tone quality. Music has always been an important part of my life and I am grateful to have Adam as my vocal coach in order to further develop my voice. I have learned many helpful techniques from him and I am looking forward to learning more.

Just moved from California where I accompanied various high school choirs in the Sacramento area. I've directed elementary choirs and an adult choir which I have founded myself. In addition, I served as the Music Director for Stand Out Talent at Tower Theater in Roseville, CA where I music directed Footloose, The Addams Family, Mary Poppins, Jekyll and Hyde, RENT (in which I was nominated for a Sacramento Elly Award for best music direction in Sacramento), 13! The Musical (also nominated for a Sacramento Elly Award), piano conducted The Who's Tommy at Folsom Lake College, and Assistant Music Directed The Glorious Ones with Webster Conservatory. Just recently, I sang behind Barry Manilow in his 2015 Farewell Tour Choir and accompanied Broadway and Hollywood star Adam Pascal's vocal workshop at the Tower Theater in Roseville. Currently, I s

I've spent the past year with Nic studying piano, and I've not only grown in my piano skills, but I've also grown as a musician. Nic has helped me through his extensive knowledge of piano pedagogy, through a classical and contemporary set of music, and his overall upbeat and positive attitude. I would reccomend Nic to anyone who is looking for an outstanding piano teacher; whether they want to take lessons for fun or pursue a career, Nic will help you become the best musician you can be.

At the age of 58 I decided to start taking violin lessons for 2 reasons, enjoyment of playing music and exercise my brain. I found Lucy K on the takelessons.com website and she was able to accommodate my request for lessons in my home on a Sunday. Starting from scratch, she taught me the fundamentals of playing and I have made some progress over the last 8 months. She is patient with me yet will push me along and at time bring me out of my comfort zone, which is good. She has the ability and training to teach students from early age to older adults like me. In addition, she also teaches piano, which my wife started lessons with Lucy K at the same time I started violin. She has my recommendation if you have interest in either violin or piano.

About Sarah
Hi, I'm a 23 year old saxophonist attending Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship. I specialize in fundamentals, like technique, building a solid sound, and music theory. I also specialize in higher level playing such as jazz and improvising. I've been teaching lessons since I was a sophomore in high school. I have studied with the very best (Jim Odgren, Dino Govoni, Mike Lee, John Wojciechowski, Bob Mintzer, Marcus Strickland, to name a few). My teaching style is friendly and energetic; I want students to be excited about playing saxophone. It's my passion and I look forward to letting my students find their passion for music as well. I also work at a saxophone shop where I test out horns and mouthpieces and work with social media and sales.

My prices are negotiable! if you are having financial troubles I am glad to make a p
ayment plan or lessen my costs.

Sarah is very easy to work with, always interested in helping you the student have fun with the sax, as she has. Despite her great experience and background (or because of it?) she never seemed bored or working beneath herself with a beginner. I could say more, but I better take this time to practice!

About Anna
I grew up surrounded by a musical family and was taught to love music at an early age. I hope to pass on that love of music to any student who walks through my doors.

I have a bachelors degree in piano performance, and have been giving private piano lessons since 2011. I have experience teaching beginning and intermediate piano students of all ages, and am comfortable teaching from a variety of method books. I aim to choose material that will be fun, engaging, and learning appropriate for each individual student. Though my training is classical and I believe this provides a good building block for learning music, I like to incorporate many different styles of music, based on students' interests.

*Please note: I currently teach from my home, and we do own a cat. If you are allergic to cats, please let me know - I am happy to make sur
e the cat is put away during your lesson time and to vacuum/dust as needed.

I hold a B.A. in Music from Covenant College, where my instrument of study was the mandolin. I studied for two years under Matt Flinner, winner of the National Mandolin Contest 1991 in Winfield, Kansas.

My particular strength as a player and teacher is on tone and technique. My lessons focus firstly on creating a clean, clear tone, practicing good right hand and left hand technique.

Though I do work with students to play by ear and improvise, I also like to emphasize reading music on the mandolin and understanding music theory. These emphases are balanced according to the particular interests and goals of the particular student. The goal of my teaching is to encourage the student to become a well-rounded musician. This way the student can achieve their current musical goals, but also will have the foundation to pursue additional u
nforeseen goals and interests as they progress.

If the student has interest, I also can teach lessons on mandola and tenor guitar.
